The Godox Litemons SR20R puts your phone in the middle of the light instead of beside it. You clamp it into the open middle of the panel, and the light then reaches your face from four sides at once: no hard shadow under the eyes and no second light to set up first. The buttons on the light run your phone camera over Bluetooth, so recording, zooming and switching cameras all happen one handed. At half a metre it puts out 1510 lux at 5600 K.

Light ring
The light source runs as a closed border around the opening, so it reaches the face from all four sides rather than from one. Shadows under the eyes and the chin are filled in, and the shape of the frame shows up in the eyes. The body measures 290 x 220 millimetres, with the phone in the opening.
Camera control
Pair the light with your phone over Bluetooth and you run the camera app straight from the light, up to ten metres away. Taking a photo, starting a recording, zooming, locking focus, switching between the front and rear camera and changing shooting mode all work without touching the phone. On an iPhone you need to turn the zoom function on for this.
Color control
Brightness runs from 0 to 100 percent with no steps, so you can also use the light ten centimetres from a face. The GM control shifts from 50 to 50 percent between green and magenta, which lets you match the light to whatever is already in the room, under fluorescent tubes for instance.
Battery
The battery charges over USB C in about two hours and twenty minutes, and you can keep using the light while it charges. It runs on 5V/3A or 9V/3A; a power adapter is not included. On first use, connect the light and keep it powered for three seconds to activate it.
Mounting
Three sides of the body carry a 1/4 inch thread, so you can put the light on a stand in landscape or portrait. The phone clamp screws onto the movable 1/4 inch nut inside the ring and locks with the locking ring; take the clamp off and a camera fits on that same nut. There are three cold shoes on top for a microphone, a handle or a small second light. An action camera or a Pocket gimbal needs its own bracket, which is not supplied.,
