Datavideo TP-700 ENG Teleprompter – 15" 4:3 LCD with built-in dvPrompter Plus

The Datavideo TP-700 teleprompter works with ENG-style cameras mounted directly to the prompter rig and also in a freestanding configuration for use with any camera. It provides an integrated 15" 4:3 LCD and on-board software so you can run a turn-key teleprompting setup without connecting a laptop.

Supports talent monitors

The TP-700 supports talent monitors up to 19" and accepts VESA 75mm and 100mm mounts. This makes it suitable for use with compatible external monitors, including the TLM-170 series.

Built-in teleprompter application

The unit features a bright 15" 4:3 LCD screen with the dvPrompter Plus application built in. Because the software runs on the display itself, you do not need to run teleprompting software on an external laptop to operate scripts and presentations.

Easy control and monitoring via Ethernet

Control and monitor the TP-700 over a local network using any device with a modern web browser. You can load, reload and control scripts remotely over the network, making on-set adjustments fast and simple without touching the prompter hardware.

Synchronize multiple units via HDMI or IP

You can connect multiple TP-700 units together using the HDMI input and output or use IP synchronisation over Ethernet. The HDMI input also allows the 15" LCD screen to function as an HDMI monitor for third‑party software if required. The HDMI output can drive external displays, offering flexible routing for larger production setups.

Powerful rich text editor

dvPrompter Plus includes a rich text editor that lets you remotely adjust font size, type, colour and justification on a per-script basis. You can use multiple different fonts within a single script and embed images. The editor also supports creating playlists from multiple scripts to streamline multi-segment productions.

P2P interview configuration

When using two TP-700 units in a P2P (Peer to Peer) interview configuration, the interviewer and interviewee can look directly into the camera lens while seeing an image of each other. This arrangement creates a natural, one-on-one interview style with direct eye contact. As a result, the interviewer addresses the viewer when asking questions, and the interviewee addresses the viewer when answering, improving viewer engagement.

Video conferencing and online presentations

The TP-700 helps presenters look natural on camera by allowing them to see guests or presentation output while looking directly into the centre of the camera lens. The 15" high-brightness screen supports hardware mirroring: simply connect your video conferencing (VC) system, presentation system or switcher via HDMI and you are ready to go. This works for webinars, online presentations and program output monitoring.

Supports PowerPoint and Keynote slides

In addition to text scripts, you can import PowerPoint or Keynote presentation slides via the web interface. Slides can be controlled using the WR-500 hardware control or the web-based remote interface. dvPrompter Plus supports seamless switching between text-based scripts and slides, and you can add both slides and scripts to a playlist. The software also supports real-time mirroring of slides so content appears correctly when viewed via the mirror glass.

Optional hardware controllers

The TP-700 can be controlled using Datavideo’s WR-500 handheld remote, the FS-30 foot pedal, or any generic presentation remote with a USB receiver. These optional controllers give presenters and operators flexible hands-free or handheld control over script playback.
