Improving upon many aspects of the Inspire 2, the DJI Inspire 3 Drone keeps up with the advancements and needs of film and television producers, allowing filmmakers to capture creative and stunning results. It begins with the X9-8K Air, an 8K, full-frame, 3-axis, gimbal camera custom-built for the Inspire 3. It joins a new 1/1.8" FPV camera with double the DFOV of the Inspire 2. Together, they help capture professional footage and complex shots thanks to a customizable obstacle avoidance system, built-in centimeter-level RTK accuracy, and tracking solutions that allow accurate and repeatable shots.  

8K X9-8K Air Gimbal: Unmatched Image Quality  

The heart of the Inspire 3 is the custom-built X9-8K Air gimbal that uses CineCore 3.0, DJI's latest image processing system to internally record up to 8K25 CinemaDNG video or 8K75 Apple ProRes RAW video (both requiring RAW License Key, sold separately). The footage retains a lifelike texture that's close to what the human eye can see, allowing enough space to add visual effects and color grading. Complex lighting sources are supported with 14+ stops of dynamic range and the use of the DJI cinema Color System authenticity in recording everything from urban landscapes to a variety of skin tones. 

Centimeter-Level RTK Positioning  

The DJI Inspire 3 Drone features advanced RTK antennas integrated into its airframe, delivering centimeter-level accuracy ideal for architecture and surveying applications. This precision allows pilots to utilize DJI Waypoint Pro for confidently executing complex flight paths repeatedly. The RTK system operates with three GNSS types—GPS, BeiDou, and Galileo—along with dual-frequency positioning. Users can activate an RTK Network via the RC Plus's internet connection to link to an NTRIP server or opt for a D-RTK 2 Mobile Station without additional installations.  

Waypoint Pro  

Waypoint Pro enhances the Inspire 3's capabilities with features like Repeatable Routes and 3D Dolly, enabling filmmakers to leverage RTK positioning for seamless scene replication. The Repeatable Routes function allows the drone to autonomously follow the same path while maintaining all preset parameters, facilitating challenging one-take shots and consistent routes for varying lighting conditions. Meanwhile, the 3D Dolly feature simulates traditional cinematography techniques, allowing users to plan and execute dynamic aerial shots with adjustable speed and gimbal angles.  

Spotlight Pro  

The Inspire 3 incorporates Spotlight Pro, which utilizes enhanced machine-learning algorithms for automated subject recognition and tracking, significantly improving accuracy for both people and vehicles. Users can select between Follow or Free modes, ensuring that capturing the desired scene is both efficient and precise.

Omnidirectional Obstacle Avoidance

The DJI Inspire 3 Drone is equipped with advanced omnidirectional obstacle avoidance, featuring nine visual sensors that ensure safety during filming by detecting obstacles in all directions. With 360° coverage, including upward and downward sensing, the drone utilizes a depth-sensing ToF sensor and fisheye cameras on each landing arm to enhance awareness of its surroundings. Filmmakers can customize the obstacle avoidance settings, allowing for independent control of horizontal, upward, and downward sensing, enabling closer proximity to objects for creative maneuvers while still receiving alerts for potential hazards.  

O3 Pro

The Inspire 3 introduces the O3 Pro video transmission and control system, marking a significant advancement in distance, video latency, and stability over its predecessor, the Inspire 2. Pilots can operate the drone at a maximum control distance of 9.3 miles in single-control mode or 7.5 miles in dual-control mode. The system supports live feeds of 1080p90 with a low latency of 90 ms, and for the first time, filmmakers can access live feeds at 4K30 or 1080p60 up to 3.1 miles, enhancing the overall filming experience.

DJI RC Plus Controller

The DJI RC Plus enhances your piloting experience with classic controls, integrated buttons, and dials, complemented by a 7" display that seamlessly integrates with the DJI Pilot 2 app. This display not only provides a live video feed but also crucial telemetry data, including camera exposure, video specifications, focal length, and gimbal angle. With a brightness of 1200 nits, it ensures optimal visibility even in bright outdoor conditions. For collaborative projects, the built-in HDMI output allows you to connect to an external monitor, while the controller's impressive battery life of up to 3.3 hours and hot-swapping capability ensure extended operation. Comfort is prioritized with an included strap and waist support for longer flights.  

Dual Control with Independent Links

The DJI Inspire 3 introduces a significant upgrade in control flexibility with its dual control system, allowing primary and secondary control links to operate independently. This feature enables two operators to manage the drone from different locations, each receiving their own live feeds. In the event of a signal loss, the gimbal operator can take control to safely land the drone, enhancing safety and operational efficiency. Note that a second remote is optional and sold separately.

Expandable DJI PRO Ecosystem  

The DJI Inspire 3 offers exceptional cinematic capabilities, enhanced by the ability to integrate optional DL Mount lenses and various DJI PRO Ecosystem accessories. The DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor serves as a secondary controller, enabling live feed access and gimbal focus control. The DJI Three-Channel Follow Focus utilizes the O3 Pro system to transmit control signals, allowing focus pullers to achieve precise remote focus and seamless aperture adjustments. Additionally, DJI Master Wheels provide gimbal control when paired with the High-Bright Remote Monitor, while DJI Transmission enables unlimited remote monitor connections through the RC Plus and a DJI Video Transmitter in Broadcast mode.  

TB51 Dual-Battery System 

 Included with the Inspire 3 are six TB51 batteries and a charging hub designed to optimize flight time. Each lightweight battery offers 28 minutes of flight and supports hot swapping, minimizing downtime. The intelligent batteries feature an automatic heating function for optimal performance in temperatures below 64°F. The folding charging hub accommodates up to eight batteries, charging two to 90% in just 35 minutes using Fast Mode, and fully charging all eight in 160 minutes.  

1TB PROSSD  

Capture high-quality footage with the included 1TB PROSSD drive, which allows for quick offloading to a PC via the provided USB-C data cable. Enjoy rapid previewing of your footage, thanks to impressive maximum read speeds of 900 Mb/s.

Trolley Case  

Transport your Inspire 3 and accessories securely with the included trolley case. Featuring an extendable handle, two side handles, and four 360° wheels, this case ensures effortless mobility. It comes equipped with two numbered locks for added security, designed to accommodate the Inspire 3, X9-8K gimbal camera, two RC Plus remotes (one included), four optional lenses, twelve flight batteries (six included), two battery charging hubs (one included), three sets of propellers, and more.  

Multicamera Timecode Sync

Enhance your filmmaking efficiency with the multicamera timecode sync feature. Utilizing the 3.5mm port, you can synchronize timecodes between airborne and ground equipment, streamlining the editing process for a seamless production experience. 

 Dual-Antenna Orientation 

Experience improved flight accuracy and safety with the dual-antenna orientation system. The front and rear built-in stacked ceramic antennas are designed to resist magnetic interference, ensuring reliable performance during your aerial shoots.
