The complete cage is designed with three contact points for a stable and twist-free connection to the Sony FX5 camera body. The cage can easily be transformed into a lightweight half cage by removing two screws at the bottom and detaching the handle mount on the side. This feature allows users to achieve a lighter and less bulky configuration without losing essential functions. With this system, you can quickly switch between the two modes depending on your recording needs.

The Full Cage offers many mounting options for various accessories, including 1/4”-20 and 3/8”-16 threads with multiple placement points, a cold shoe mount, a NATO rail for the top handle, as well as mounting points for an easy rod holder. The standalone top plate acts as a NATO rail providing multiple threads for more flexible mounting options.

A bi-directional ARCA bottom plate slides in from both directions for quick transitions between tripods and gimbals. A new DJI gimbal center positioning point on the bottom reduces balancing time, and a separate center positioning point for base plates helps users build a well-balanced rig. Reinforced corners on the cage protect against accidental bumps and damage during active filming, providing extra security in unpredictable recording environments.

A lockable HDMI cable clamp keeps cables secure and the signal constant and stable. All buttons, controls, and screen functions are fully accessible, and special clearances are designed to ensure nothing is blocked. The cage is also designed to seamlessly integrate with the Nucleus Autofocus Adapter, allowing the adapter to be used directly with this cage without interference.

The camera grip has been reshaped and, in combination with the cage's grip, follows the natural curve of the hand with a dedicated pinky support. This elevates the camera grip to something that is truly ergonomic and comfortable.

This kit also includes the Xeno Top Handle and Xeno Side Handle, which feature multiple 1/4″-20 connections with placement pins and cold shoe mounts, both attached via NATO rail. These handles also provide more mounting options and better ergonomics and stability during operation.
