The S18 Mini Flash delivers 18Ws of flash light with a guide number of 16 at ISO 100. That is significantly more light than a built in camera flash and helps with indoor portraits, family moments and low light scenes. With a size of 6.1 x 5.3 x 2.4 cm (2.4 x 2.1 x 0.9 inches) and a weight of just 100 g (3.5 oz), the flash fits in any camera bag or jacket pocket.
Direct or bounce flash
The flash head tilts from 3° to 72°, making both direct fill and bouncing off a wall or ceiling possible. The beam angle is 60°. For multi flash setups, two optical slave modes (C1, C2) are available, so the S18 can fire together with other light sources.
Precise manual control
Power can be adjusted in 19 steps across a 7 stop range (3.0â9.0), with fine 0.3 stop increments. Recycle times range from 0.01 to 2.5 seconds depending on the power setting. The native sync speed is up to 1/250. Flash duration (t0.1) is between 1/810 and 1/27000 s, (t0.5) between 1/2500 and 1/50000 s. Automatic Memory Recall retains the last used settings.
Built in battery with USB C
The S18 has an internal 3.7V / 1250mAh (4.6Wh) lithium battery that charges via USB C in about 2.5 hours. Good for up to 500 full power flashes per charge. Charging during use is supported, so separate AA batteries are not needed. Passive cooling and heat protection keep the flash under control during heavier use, and automatic shut off helps preserve battery life.
Compatibility and accessories
Thanks to the universal single pin hot shoe design, the S18 works with most cameras from Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic Lumix, Olympus and Leica. The package includes five colour gels (Diffusion, CTO, 1/2 CTO, Yellow, Red) for creative lighting effects, a USB cable and a travel case.,
