This makes the light direction visible before the shot and focusing easier. Once the flash fires, finer details, texture and depth come through more clearly.Two flexible arms and hot shoe expansionThe two flexible arms position light from either side of the subject. Hot shoe mounts at the ends of the arms accept compact flash units, making it possible to build twin light setups for low angle work, close to ground shots and forest floor macro. The total load on each flexible arm must not exceed 90 g.A/B dual channel light source controlThe left and right light sources are controlled independently, for fill from one side or from both sides. This makes it possible to match the lighting to the position of the subject, the camera angle and the intended result. In FLASH mode the MA2 supports S1/S2 photocell triggering for manual flash setups and for TTL setups with pre flash.Magnetic diffuser panel and adjustable LED continuous lightThe included MA02 D diffuser panel attaches to the magnetic base and is secured with snap fasteners, so it can be fitted and removed quickly. The panel folds up or down to change the angle and can be shaped by gently pressing the edges. In close up work it softens the light, reduces harsh highlights and creates smoother shadows on reflective or textured subjects. In LED mode the MA2 delivers adjustable continuous light from 0 to 100% with a colour temperature of 2800K to 6500K, usable as fill light for macro video, as focusing assistance or to shift the light from warm to cool. In FLASH mode the LED modeling lamp covers the same 2800K to 6500K range, so the light can be judged before shooting.Compact design with built in battery and USB C chargingThe compact, integrated design keeps a macro setup light and flexible, which makes handheld macro, low angle shots and outdoor close ups easier to capture. After shooting, the flexible arms fold into a compact shape and the detachable diffuser panel fits easily into a backpack. The built in 3.635V, 3300mAh lithium battery runs for approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes at 100% brightness and recharges via USB C in approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes.
