The next step in autofocus

Canon's lightning fast autofocus Dual Pixel CMOS AF II together with their advanced eye autofocus means you always get sharp results - even in poorly lit environments. The camera can focus down to -6 EV without problems, in other words the EOS R5 sees what you do not see. You can also manually set the AF to up to 5940 different points for enormous accuracy.

The camera is equipped with an impressive eye autofocus that also extends to animals. The EOS R5 detects differences between dogs', cats' and birds' eyes, faces and body shapes. Together with the lightning-fast autofocus, the camera can automatically recognize what you are shooting or filming and focus accordingly. It has never been easier to catch stray dogs, cats or birds flying in the sky.

Photograph the handheld without any problems

The camera is equipped with a 5-axis image stabilization so you can always feel comfortable with longer shutter speeds. Together with Canon RF optics, you can get up to 8 steps of image stabilization, which means that you can have 8 times longer shutter speed than you could have otherwise, and get the same quality. So stop worrying about blurry images - with the EOS R5 you can shoot handhelds like never before.

Wireless connection

The camera is equipped with wireless Wi-Fi and bluetooth connection. This means, for example, that you can easily and quickly transfer your images to your phone, printer or Canon's new image.canon service.
