Video and Photo Portrait Lens
The Sony FE 85 / 1.8 is compatible with Sony's full-size mirroless cameras, but works equally well on an APS-C camera, which corresponds to 137mm. The lens is well suited to portrait and the high brightness gives short depth of field with a lot of background blur and good performace in dark situations.

Perfect för portrait
An 85mm lens is a very popular focal length for portraits, so you get a good working distance to your model and can compress the background. Even when using the lens on a camera with APS-C sensor, it is ideal for portrait when it is approximately 130mm.
Provides short depth of field and creamy background color
If you want to isolate your subject and stand it against the background, it is important to have a high brightness. With a large aperture on f / 1.8, it's no problem to get isolated motifs or models and it gives you a great background blur to work with. The high brightness also makes the lens suitable for indoor use or when the light is worse.
Silent auto focus - suitable for video
The autofocus engine is quiet and fast, which makes the lens look sharp, especially when used with Sony's Face Detection and Eye AF. Thanks to the silent autofocus engine, the lens is also very suitable for filming for example interviews.
