Portkeys LS7P - Robust 7" camera monitor with 1000 nits, SDI/HDMI & wireless camera control

The Portkeys LS7P is a lightweight but durable 7" aluminum on-camera monitor with 1000 nits brightness, full HD resolution and both HDMI/SDI in/out. It is powered by MOVNORM OS and offers professional tools such as Waveform, Histogram, Vectorscope, ARRI False Color, Log Stops and 3D LUT support with LUT output. The LS7P also features wireless camera control and touchscreen autofocus (supported on select models), making it a powerful hub on set.

Daylight display - 7" FHD, 10-bit (8+2 FRC) & 1000:1 contrast

The 7" LCD panel features 1920×1080 resolution, up to 1000 nits brightness and 1000:1 contrast, providing excellent visibility even in bright sunlight. The panel is 10-bit (8+2 FRC) and each unit is factory color calibrated to REC.709 for accurate colors right out of the box. The wide viewing angle of 80° from all directions makes the image easy to see for the operator and focus puller.

Pro connections & smooth signal handling

The LS7P features 1×4K30 HDMI input and 1×3G-SDI input, as well as 1×1080p60 HDMI output and 1×3G-SDI output. Cross-conversion from SDI-in to HDMI-out is possible and the monitor can send 3D LUT to the HDMI output. Built-in audio readout via HDMI/SDI and 3.5 mm headphone jack. A USB-A port on the bottom is used for firmware and to load custom LUTs.

Wireless camera control & Touch Focus

Control popular cameras from ARRI, RED, Sony, Nikon, Canon, Panasonic and Blackmagic Design directly from the screen. For selected models, touch focus (Touchscreen AF) is available, e.g. Sony FX3/FX6, a7S III/A7C, Canon EOS C80/C400 and others. Adjust aperture, shutter, ISO, ND and white balance without touching the camera. The LS7P can also act as a "master" in a 1-to-many system to control up to four compatible Portkeys monitors within about 50 m.

Tools for exposure, focus & framing

MONVORM OS provides a complete set of tools: Waveform (RGB/Luma), Histogram, Vectorscope, Zebra, Peaking, Zoom, Anamorphic de-squeeze (10 standard ratios + custom 0.25×-4.0×), Frames/Grids/Crop, Freeze Frame to USB, Stretch Leg for vertical clips (can be sent to HDMI out), as well as 3D LUT monitoring and LUT output. Exclusive Log Stops read camera LOG steps (auto-recognition initially supported for Sony; more brands coming via free firmware).

Power & convenient rigging

Powered via built-in Sony NP-F plate (13W consumption). For longer runs, there is locking DC input 7-24 V (5.5×2.1 mm) and included D-Tap-to-DC cable. The rear panel has a rotatable NP-F dummy battery plate with power passthrough (8 V/10 W) to feed a wireless video receiver directly on the monitor. Three 1/4"-20 mounts (top/bottom/right) - top has locating pins - plus four function buttons, power switch and screen lock.

Lightweight, durable & built for the field

The all-aluminum housing weighs only 409 g and measures 176.2 × 103.8 × 39.3 mm, making the LS7P comfortable on camera, gimbal and rig. Two included screen protectors and boxed accessories make it ready for tough productions.

Smart FAQ

Question: Is the LS7P usable outdoors in bright light?
Answer: Yes, it delivers up to 1000 nits and is daylight readable, also REC.709 factory calibrated for accurate colors on site.

Question: Can I control my camera wirelessly from the monitor?
Answer: Yes, the LS7P supports wireless control of multiple brands (ARRI, RED, Sony, Nikon, Canon, Panasonic, BMD) and has touch focus support for select models such as the Sony FX3/FX6, a7S III/A7C and Canon EOS C80/C400.

Question: Does the monitor have both HDMI and SDI in/out?
Answer: Yes, it has HDMI in (up to DCI 4K30), SDI in (3G-SDI 1080p60), and HDMI/SDI out (1080p60) and can cross-convert SDI in to HDMI out. LUT signal can be sent to the HDMI output.

Question: Is it possible to load my own 3D LUTs?
Answer: Yes, up to 20 LUTs can be charged via USB-A. You can also use the LUT when outputting to HDMI.

Question: How can I power the LS7P in a lightweight rig?
A: Use an NP-F on the monitor and feed your wireless receiver via the built-in rotatable NP-F dummy plate (8V/10W). For longer sessions - use the DC input (7-24 V) with the included D-Tap cable.

Question: What is Log Stops and how is it different from False Color?
Answer: Log Stops divide the camera's LOG signal into exposure zones based on actual f-stops. It can be displayed as color or zebra and is auto-recognizing (Sony first; more brands via firmware).
