Tilta Mirage Matte Box Motorized VND Kit

Mirage is a new matte box system developed for the latest era of video creators, an ultra-lightweight design, multifunctional modular design and affordable solution for modern and efficient video production.

With a new standard clamp of 95mm on the back that can be mounted directly on classic cinema lenses, for example ARRI Ultra Primes, Leica Summicron-C, and with step-down rings for lenses with smaller front diameter.

The new circular filter design is more cost effective due to its lighter weight and smaller size, and weighs only 1/4 of a traditional 4x5.65 filter.

With a newly designed variable ND module, the VND module holds several configurations, of which the lightest weighs only 130g. With new PL + CPL technology, the VND module can produce accurate colors even at its maximum density. Variable ND can be gradually adjusted, so that you can maintain a consistent exposure when lighting conditions change unexpectedly. The module has built-in hard stops between ND 0.3 ~ ND 2.7 to ensure no risk of an X-Pattern Cross Shadow.

The VND module is controlled wirelessly by a micro motor to remotely adjust the ND level, which provides more flexibility when shooting. Standard wireless range is 100m and can be further expanded with a wireless signal amplifier (purchased separately). VND's motor can be controlled with the new wireless control unit and Tilta's Nucleus series of wireless follow focus systems.

The wireless controller is mounted via NATO Rail and can control the Nuclues M & Nano engine and the Tilta Mirage wireless engine.

It is possible to expand the matte box's 4x5.65 filter support with additional stackable filter compartments (purchased separately) to achieve more advanced creative looks. More accessories will continue to be released and further expand the system's capabilities.
