Designed for fast-moving DSLR / mirrorless videographers, the Deity Microphones V-Mic D4 DUO is a compact and lightweight camera microphone that offers a smart feature set designed to capture better-sounding interviews in the field.

The V-Mic D4 DUO offers a dual-capsule design, with a cardioid capsule focused on the subject in front of the microphone and a second one directed backwards, so that it can pick up sound from the camera operator / interviewer / journalist. Instead of being forced to shout in favor of a microphone, it lets the interviewer speak in a normal tone without sounding muffled and distant, providing enhanced sound for interviews and voice-overs.

The versatile V-Mic D4 DUO also has a 3.5mm Aux input designed to accommodate a lavalier microphone or wireless transmitter (both available separately). If you have time to mic up your subject with a lav mic, just plug it into the socket and turn the stereo connector that bypasses the rear microphone on the D4. The lavalier is recorded on the camera's right channel, while the front capsule on the D4 DUO is directed to the left. With the sound from each microphone on separate tracks, you can dial the exact mix you want of the nearby sound from the lichen and the atmosphere of the microphone on the camera in post-production. You no longer need to carry bulky camera mixers or hard-to-reach stereo splitter cables to achieve similar results.

The V-Mic D4 DUO weighs only 40g and adds quality sound to your camera rig without weighing it down. Two microphone covers in faux fur are included to reduce wind noise when shooting outdoors, as well as a Rycote Lyre shock absorber to reduce vibrations and handling noise and a wound 3.5mm output cable.
