The DPA 4060 Core Omni Mic is a series of mosquito microphones with a modular adapter system to fit virtually any wireless system, regardless of brand. The 4060 series is the original and very first miniature microphone developed by DPA using the best technology previously only used in hearing aids and measurement microphones. The Mosquito Microphone is designed for use with wireless systems in theatres, in television or closed instruments and is really small and discreet. Thanks to its small size and its omnidirectional nature, the microphone does not need to be pointed directly at the sound source to maintain good sound quality.

The DPA 4060 Core was developed to withstand the toughest conditions. They contain a 5.4 mm diameter pre-polarized condenser element with a vertical diaphragm. This unique double ventilation protection system makes the microphones very resistant to moisture and sweat. The microphones are also designed with a Kevlar-reinforced cable relief that's made to withstand the twists, bends, and pulls that come with everyday use.
The microphone requires phantom power of +48 or via wireless transmitter to function.
