WRITE-PROTECT FUNCTION The Angelbird SD Dual Card Reader comes with a write-protect switch that protects against accidental deletion of files and prevents the system from writing unwanted data files to the cards.

The SD cards must be ejected BEFORE the card reader's write protect switch is enabled or disabled.

The SD Dual Card Reader from Angelbird is built with a modular design and stacks seamlessly with their other card reader models. It's made for quick insertion of SD, SDHC and SDXC media, with built-in support for UHS-II and backwards compatibility for UHS-I and connects to host systems running Windows, Mac, Linux, iPadOS or Android via a USB Type-C port and the 10 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2 standard. If your system does not support USB 3.2 Gen 2, there is backward compatibility with other USB standards. In addition, since the USB Type-C port shares the same interface as Thunderbolt 3, the card reader can be connected directly to Thunderbolt 3 ports. To further enhance connectivity, both a 19.7-inch USB Type-C to Type-C cable and a USB Type-C to Type-A adapter are included.

Angelbird's SD Dual Card Reader is bus-powered, meaning it receives power directly from the host system's USB or Thunderbolt port, with no additional cables or power supplies required. The Solid Stack design enables modular stacking of multiple card readers, while the USB Type-C port has a Solid Connect flush-mounted connection which ensures stable, uninterrupted data transfer and protects the cable from wear and tear. Finally, a built-in write-protect switch protects the contents of your SD card from accidental deletion.

In order for the SD Dual Card Reader to be used with microSD media, a microSD to SD adapter is included. A USB Type-C to Type-C cable and a USB Type-C to Type-A adapter are also included. NOTE: To receive the full limited warranty, the product must be registered on Angelbird's personal service portal within 30 days of purchase. If it is not registered within this period, the current market's legal warranty period applies.
