Follow Focus For Canon

Zhiyun Crane 2 is the world's first 3-axis gimbal stabilizer with built-in follow-focus function for Canon (NB: not other brands). The camera is connected with a cable to the stabilizer and with a graduated control wheel on the side, you can quickly and easily adjust the focus in three levels with very high precision, down to ± 0.02 ° degrees.

Camera Control

Crane 2 comes with camera cables for Canon, Sony and Panasonic to control the camera via the control panel on the stabilizer. An innovative control panel consisting of a four-way multifunction button and a setting wheel also provides Crane 2 capability to control camera functions like aperture, shutter speed, ISO and exposure compensation. The same controls also control the stabilizer itself. The settings are clearly displayed on an OLED display. It also shows the stabilizer's battery level.

Higher payload And Faster

A new engine design gives 50% higher power than previous models which means that Zhiyun Crane 2 can carry a total weight of 3.2kg (camera plus lens). At the same time, updated algorithms provide a 100% improvement in response time, which means soft and shakeless recordings even under difficult conditions. Crane 2 can compensate for a tilt angle between -135 ° and + 185 ° as well as unlimited panning and roll (360 °).

Longer Battery Operation

The rechargeable batteries have a total capacity of 6000 mAh and are capable of up to 18 hours of continuous use. You can even load some of Sony's mirror-free camera models via Crane 2 (power cable included).
When the stabilizer is turned off, a built-in brake activates and actively attenuates the fall movement so that the camera or lens does not damage. The same thing applies if the power suddenly ends.

Manfrotto Quick Release

The zhiyun crane 2 now comes with a quick release plate to attch the camera. The quick release plate is of manfrotto standared 501.

Smooth balancing

Crane 2, just like its predecessor, has a balancing system that does not require any tools. There is also a small wooden tripod mounted in the 1/4 "thread at the bottom to facilitate balancing by placing Crane 2 on a table.

Lock, Pan Follow And Follow Mode

• Lock (L) locks the camera in one direction and holds it, no matter how you turn the handle.
• Pan Follow (PF) locks the tilt and roll axis, which keeps the camera moving in sideways but still with soft movements.
• Follow (F) locks all axises so that the camera moves along in the direction you hold the handle.

In both (L) and (PF) mode you adjust the camera direction both through the joystick but also by just moving the camera with your hand. Crane 2 then locks the camera to the position you release the camera. This is not possible in (F) mode, as the camera will follow with all the time.
