Zoom F6 Multitrack Field Recorder
The Zoom F6 uses two ADCs with digital 32-bit floatpoint recording, giving you such high dynamics in recording that you do not need to set gain when recording. The recorder is equipped with faders to help you get to the right level, but when the file is recorded with a digital gain you can always adjust it to the correct level in the mail without loss of quality, regardless of the level recorded, provided the recording is within the dynamic of the microphone scope.
Feautures:
Double ADC
32-bit float format
Immune to cutting and distortion
Gain does not need to be adjusted
Sony L series, AA batteries and USB-C
6pcs XLR inputs & Timecode
Double ADC
By using dual Analog / Digital converters, the Zoom F6 can capture the entire microphone dynamics. This means that you do not have to adjust your Gain and can adjust the sound levels in the finishing. Both high and low levels are recorded, without having to worry about clipping.
32-bit float format
Floatpoint files handle significantly higher dynamics than fixedpoint files, and to sign the precision remains constant over a larger portion of the file's dynamics. Zoom F6 has six fader controls that apply digital gain and the file is recorded after this digital gain is set, something called "post-fader recording". This allows you to use digital gain in mail without signal loss.
Sony L series, AA batteries and USB-C
The Zoom F6 can be powered both via AA batteries, Sony L series batteries and via USB-C. This gives you great flexibility for all situations.
