Atomos Shinobi 7" 4K HDMI / SDI Monitor

Shinobi 7 is a bright monitor with high resolution to see your 4K / 2K images from a cinema camera such as Z CAM E2, Panasonic BGH1 or RED KOMODO. It has a 1920 x 1200 10-bit FRC IPS screen with a brightness of 2200 cd / m², which makes it suitable for both outdoor and indoor use. The larger model enhances the original Shinobi as it adds 3G-SDI input and loop output up to 2K60, HDMI 2.0 input and loop output up to 4K60, signal cross conversion, a camera control port, dual L-series battery slots with built-in USB and RJ45 ports.

Shinobi 7 is a touch screen with the latest AtomOS firmware that has a variety of on-screen analysis tools, such as multi-scope, exposure, framing, focus assist, waveform, RGB-parade and histogram tools. It also has an SDI card slot for loading custom 3D LUTs, and it supports SDR and HDR display. With AtomHDR display technology, you can accurately view your log-gamma images without having to see flat, washed-out images or use a LUT to compress the dynamic range and color space. The screen supports popular log formats from Sony, Canon, Panasonic, ARRI, RED and JVC cameras.

It also supports camera control with its 2.5mm control port and optional cables, and it currently supports control of the Z CAM E2 series of cinema cameras. Shinobi 7 is built to withstand the rigors of production, has a light chassis and is powered from a dual L-series battery plate or with the included AC adapter.

AtomHDR

With AtomHDR, you can reproduce up to ten dynamic range stops for your camera's LOG image. Most conventional monitors can only display six or seven stops, which is good for standard media, but a log image will look too flat. It is also superior to an imported LUT, which can cut highlights and mask shadows.

Supported Log Formats

  • ARRI Log CEI160 / CEI200 / CEI250 / CEI320 / CEI400 / CEI500 / CEI640 / CEI800 / CEI1000 / CEI1280 / CEI1600

Audio Monitoring

Input / output audio via HDMI and output audio with 3.5 mm headphone port for convenient audio reproduction.

Daylight Viewable Screen

Shinobi 7 has a 7 "IPS LCD 1920 x 1200 screen that is illuminated by a bright 2200 cd / m² LED backlight, which makes it possible to see in daylight without the need for a hood. In addition, the screen is also color calibrated from the factory to ensure correct image representation.

HDR Signal Management

Log and HDR signals can be difficult to monitor with conventional equipment. With Shinobi's built-in HDR signal management features, the log signal can be converted to the PQ standard for compatibility with existing consumer and professional HDR equipment.

Power Options

The back of the screen has dual L-series battery compartments for longer recording time and a universal AC adapter is also included.

Camera Control

The screen has a 2.5 mm control port that currently supports control of Z CAM E2 series cinema cameras, while future camera control support awaits.

Anamorphic De-squeeze

Shinobi 7 supports anamorphic de-squeeze, so you can comfortably view anamorphic images with a press of 2x, 1.5x, 1.33 and Panasonics 8: 3.

3D LUT Management

With an SD card slot, you can charge custom 3D LUT devices and apply them to both input and output signals.
