The Kinefinity EAGLE HDMI e-Viewfinder (EVF) is a lightweight and robust viewfinder with Micro-OLED 1080p display, 10-bit processing and fanless, lag-free viewing. With HDMI in and loop-out, PD power via USB-C and a sophisticated quick-lock for mounting, it's ideal for cinema, DSLR and mirrorless cameras that require reliable monitoring in daylight and fast-paced production.
The EVF includes key tools to get image and exposure right: luma waveform, luma/RGB histogram, false color, zebra, focus magnification (1:2 / 1:4), peaking/edge enhancement, image rotation/flip, anamorphic de-squeeze and frame/center mark. Customize your workflow with five function buttons and a function wheel, plus metadata via HDMI that can display recording status in the viewfinder.
The 0.71″ Micro-OLED panel with 1920×1080 resolution, high contrast ratio (>10,000:1) and 10-bit processing delivers crisp reproduction and good color accuracy. The optics offer 33° field of view, low distortion (<1.5%) and adjustable diopter from -6D to +2D, so you can work comfortably with or without glasses.
EAGLE HDMI accepts 1080p, 1080i and 1080psf signals at 23.98-60 fps and simultaneously passes the image via HDMI loop-out to an additional monitor or recorder. Power is conveniently supplied via USB-C PD (5 V), and a separate USB-C port is used for firmware updates.
The aluminum and glass housing weighs only about 348 g and measures 105×54×59 mm. The quick-lock and rosette attachment (M6) allow the EVF to be easily integrated into rigs; additional 1/4″-20 and M6 points provide flexibility for different placements on the camera.
The fanless design provides quiet operation on set, while the lag-free playback and fast start-up help you react instantly to changes in the scene.
Thanks to HDMI-in/loop-out, 1080 support and PD stream, EAGLE HDMI works great on popular models like the Sony FX series, Canon C series, Panasonic, Nikon, Fujifilm and many more - as well as on dedicated cinema houses with HDMI output.
Note! Mounts, cables and additional accessories sold separately or included in dedicated kits.

Question: Will EAGLE HDMI work with my mirrorless camera in 1080p?
Answer: Yes, it receives 1080p, 1080i and 1080psf between 23.98-60 fps via HDMI and can simultaneously loop the signal to an external monitor or recorder.
Question: Can I load my own 3D LUTs into the EVF?
Answer: No, EAGLE HDMI does not support the import of 3D LUTs. Instead, use the camera's own LUT setting for proper viewing in the viewfinder.
Question: Is it possible to power and receive video signal via USB-C?
A: USB-C 1 is used for PD power (5V) and USB-C 2 for firmware update. None of the USB-C ports receive video; it is via HDMI.
Question: Does the EVF have recording triggers?
Answer: The HDMI version has no RS trigger, but displays recording status via HDMI metadata from the camera when supported.
Question: What diopter adjustment is available for vision correction?
Answer: The diopter can be adjusted from -6D to +2D, making it comfortable to use both with and without glasses.
Question: Is it quiet in sound-sensitive environments?
Answer: Yes, the EAGLE HDMI is fanless and operates completely silently to avoid noise interference during recording.
Question: Which monitors work safely on loop-out?
A: Most monitors will work; tested compatibility includes Vaxis Atom A5, Shimbol and Bestview R7S III-V.
