Advanced Quantum Dot OLED Display

The SmallHD Quantum 27 is a 26.5-inch Quantum Dot OLED monitor delivering true 4K resolution (3840 × 2160) with 10-bit color depth. It achieves up to 1000 nits of brightness, deep blacks, and a very high contrast ratio—ideal for 4K HDR monitoring and on-set color-critical display workflows.

Display Performance and Color Precision

Using Quantum Dot OLED technology developed with Samsung Display, the monitor emits narrow-spectrum RGB light uniformly, preserving color accuracy across wide viewing angles—up to 60°, covering 99% of DCI-P3. The panel’s luminance and uniformity make it dependable for both production and post-production grading tasks.

Design and Handling Features

The Quantum 27 is built for real-world production environments. It includes a built-in handle, built-in feet, Universal 100 mm VESA mounting, and an Arca rail on the rear. Compared to the larger Quantum 32, it is roughly 6 lb (3 kg) lighter, with a total weight of 8.3 kg, making it easier to deploy multiple units in video village or multi-monitor arrays.

Inputs, Outputs, and Power Flexibility

This monitor supports full 4K p60 workflows via four 12G-SDI inputs and outputs, plus one HDMI 2.0 input and output. Power options include 2× two-pin LEMO outputs, USB-C, USB-A, and compatibility with Gold or V-Mount battery plates—offering flexible setup choices on set.

PageOS Interface and Monitoring Tools

Driven by SmallHD’s PageOS, the Quantum 27 offers a page-based customizable interface for tools like EL Zone (stop-based exposure), waveform, vectorscope, and a Calman-compatible calibration wizard. The haptic dial controls light up on touch and support multiple input types—rotary, push, long-push, capacitive—allowing quick access to functions and LUTs, with multi-view support coming soon.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Quantum Dot OLED different from standard OLED?

Quantum Dot OLED uses a blue OLED light source that passes through printed red and green quantum dots, producing pure, narrow-spectrum RGB light. This results in uniform brightness, a wider color volume, and precise color reproduction compared to conventional OLED panels. The Quantum 27 reaches around 99% of DCI-P3.

Can I mount multiple Quantum 27 monitors together?

Yes. The unit’s lighter weight, 100 mm VESA, and Arca rail make it practical to deploy in multi-monitor setups—like video village—without sacrificing handling or mounting flexibility.

Does the monitor support HDR tools?

Absolutely. It includes tools like EL Zone for exposure, waveform, vectorscope, and calibration via the Monitor Calibration Wizard, all controlled through the PageOS environment.

What power options are available?

The monitor supports versatile power setups: LEMO outputs, USB-C, USB-A, and battery bracket compatibility (Gold or V-Mount), enabling field operation with standard accessories.

Is the Quantum 27 a good choice for on-set and post-production?

Yes. The Quantum 27 provides reference-grade color and HDR performance in a more man
