The Bolt 6 LT Set is a real-time wireless video transmission system that supports 4K video with Teradek’s patented Zero-Delay technology, now with less interference thanks to the newly opened 6 GHz wireless frequency band. The Bolt 6 LT can transmit and receive color-accurate, True-HDR video in less than 0.001 seconds using the included Bolt 6 LT video transmitter and receiver.

Key features of the Bolt 6 LT Set include configuration options designed for a wide range of production needs, fast reconnection times, intuitive and easy setup via the Bolt Manager app for iOS or Android, and consistent, stable connectivity. The Bolt 6 LT series uses the 6 GHz band to provide users with better image quality and reduced interference. And when used in high-traffic areas, the 6 GHz wireless frequency provides Bolt 6 LT users with more options for frequency adjustments, thanks to 12 new channels. Bolt 6 can also transmit metadata, timecode, and start/stop flags from most camera manufacturers.

Bolt 6 also offers new tools for advanced users, including improved visibility into connections and signals, which instills confidence in your workflow no matter how challenging the environment. It also gives you access to our new Long Range Mode, which delivers better video quality over longer distances. A 5-pin USB adapter, sold separately, enables easy, wireless camera control when using SmallHD Smart Monitors.

The included transmitter—our most compact design yet—and receiver are cross-compatible with the entire Bolt 4K series, including the Bolt 4K, Bolt 4K LT, and Bolt 4K monitor modules—allowing you to expand your workflow capabilities. Pair up to 6 receivers with a single transmitter, or an unlimited number of receivers when used in broadcast mode (available on MAX models).

The Bolt 6 LT offers three line-of-sight options: 750 feet, 1,500 feet, and the MAX kit, which can be configured for up to 5,000+ feet. Additionally, you can upgrade your kit to include gold or V-mount battery packs. And while the Bolt 6 LT Set features both 4K HDMI and 1080p SDI inputs and outputs, you can also choose the Bolt 6 LT HDMI model if your production needs require only HDMI.

About 6 GHz

Wi-Fi routers, cell phones, IoT devices, and competing wireless video systems are among the many devices that use the 5 GHzfrequency to communicate wirelessly, making it a very crowded space where you’re likely to encounter frequent interference and even video dropouts. Bolt 6 uses the recently opened 6GHz wireless frequency band to provide a dramatically quieter wireless environment (though it can still be set to 5GHz mode for backward compatibility). In 6GHz mode, Bolt 6 users will enjoy faster connections and less interference for a better wireless experience. The 6GHz band is now available in the U.S. and Canada under UNII-5 government specifications. More countries will open up the 6 GHz band in 2023.
