The Z CAM E2-M4 Mark II is a compact yet powerful professional 4K cinema camera designed for filmmakers, livestream production and multi-camera rigs. It builds on the popular E2-M4 with improved connectivity, built-in gyro sensor for stabilization and support for advanced codecs like Z RAW and ProRes.
The camera uses a 4/3" sensor with 10.71 MP and can record DCI 4K up to 120 fps or UHD 4K up to 160 fps. For slow motion, it can also record Full HD up to 240 fps. Recording is done on CFexpress Type B cards for high bandwidth and stable performance.
When used with compatible Atomos monitors, the camera can record 12-bit ProRes RAW via HDMI. Internally, supported formats include Z RAW, H.264, H.265 and multiple ProRes formats including 422 HQ, 422 LT and Proxy.
The E2-M4 Mark II has dual native ISO of 500 and 2500 and offers up to 16 stops of dynamic range in WDR mode. In Z-Log2 you get up to 13-15 stops of dynamic range for greater flexibility in color grading.
The second generation has an integrated gyro sensor that improves stabilization in post-processing. This makes the camera particularly useful for handheld filming and gimbal production.
The E2-M4 Mark II offers HDMI and 3G-SDI outputs, Genlock and Timecode via BNC, and Ethernet for remote control and live streaming. The camera supports RTSP, RTMP and SRT protocols for live streaming over Gigabit Ethernet.
With Z CAM EzLink Sync, multiple cameras can be precisely synchronized in multi-camera productions. The cameras can be networked and synchronized with very low latency, making it ideal for live productions.
The camera body is built in aluminum for efficient heat dissipation and robust durability. The chassis has multiple mounting points and an active, interchangeable Micro Four Thirds mount.
The Z Camera app for iOS and Android allows remote control of the camera via Wi-Fi or USB. You can start and stop recording, adjust settings and see live previews directly on your phone.
