The camera has a responsive autofocus with 273-point phase detection that covers approximately 84% of the image area. The autofocus can be set to follow people's faces or lock it onto an object and then follow it.
Slow motion
Slow-motion can be recorded at up to 120 frames per second continuously in full HD. With the "super slow motion" function, you get access to 1000 images per second.
Built-in ND filters
Built into the FDR-AX700 are three different ND filters that are easily activated with a push of a button on the back of the camera. The ND filters limit the light that reaches the sensor, which allows you to work with a larger aperture even outdoors in bright light and thus get a short depth of field. The three filters have values of ND 1/4, ND 1/16, and ND 1/64.
