With the ability to use interchangeable Sony E-mount lenses, the FR7 is compatible with up to 70 E-mount lenses, providing flexibility for various shooting scenarios.  

The camera boasts a large image sensor that delivers an impressive 15+ stops of dynamic range, ensuring exceptional image quality. It can capture UHD 4K120 video, allowing for high-resolution footage.  

Additionally, the FR7 supports live streaming, enabling real-time broadcasting of events. It also supports S-Cinetone, Cine EI, and MLUT looks, allowing for seamless integration with select Sony cameras.

Full-Frame Sensor 4K Imaging

The FR7 boasts expressive 4K imaging capabilities thanks to its full-frame sensor and compatibility with Sony E-mount lenses, resulting in stunningly cinematic visuals. 

 With 15+ stops of dynamic range and a base ISO of 800 expandable up to 409,600, this camera excels at capturing high-quality video in various lighting conditions. 

Builtin ND-filter

The FR7 also features built-in ND filters with variable filtration from 1/4 (2 stops) to 1/128 (7 stops), allowing you to adjust exposure without affecting depth of field and achieve shallow depth-of-field effects by combining the ND filter with aperture adjustments.

Sony E-mount

 Its compatibility with up to 70 Sony E-mount lenses, including G Master (GM) lenses, allows for a wide range of focal lengths from 12 to 1200, enabling you to capture both expansive landscapes and intricate details. 

Image Gamma

 Utilize Sony S-Log3 for rich detail and wide color, while Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) helps create nuanced contrast in your images.

SDI Raw Video Output 

The FR7 offers the capability to output raw video through the SDI (BNC) output for external recording purposes, allowing for color grading and post-production adjustments. 

UHD 4K 120p Recording 

Capture UHD 4K video at speeds of up to 120 fps to achieve stunning slow-motion effects in your footage. 

Remote Control and Robotics 

Features Utilize the IP remote function to remotely control the camera from a distance, such as from a broadcast truck, or to manage multiple cameras simultaneously.

Easily output video using the HDMI and up to 12G-SDI video outputs, while also having the ability to stream via RTSP, SRT, or NDI|HX (NewTek license required) through the LAN port.  

Control Flexibility 

The included IR remote allows for control over pan, tilt, zoom (PTZ), focus, recording, playback, and other camera settings. Alternatively, the RM-IP500 control panel with joystick zoom rocker and buttons can be used, or access the web app remote control from a tablet or PC browser.  

Versatile Mounting Options 

Mount the FR7 on a tripod or riser using the two 1/4"-20 threads, attach it to a ceiling with an optional mount, or add camera accessories using the 15mm rod mounts for enhanced flexibility in positioning the camera.

Cinematic Multicamera Capabilities 

Enhance your PTZ capture with a cinematic touch and seamlessly integrate footage from other Sony cameras using the S-Cinetone picture profile. Utilize the Cine EI mode with MLUT management for S-Log3 or raw recording, along with XAVC recording supporting up to 10-bit, 4:2:2 color and HDR recording.  

Advanced Autofocus Features 

Benefit from fast hybrid autofocus with face detection and touch tracking, ensuring that your shots remain sharp and focused even during dynamic action sequences.  

Convenient Preset Control and Interfaces 

Effortlessly manage up to 100 preset positions for quick access and control. The camera is equipped with a LAN port for network and PoE++ use, timecode input, genlock connector, and red/green tally indicators. Additionally, the dual media slots support CFexpress Type A and SDXC memory cards for versatile storage options.
