Sony A7R III, A7III camera cage

The SHAPE Sony A7R III Cage is targeted atfilmmakers, videographers and photographers who want a simple, hassle-free andergonomic cage design that really works.  Specifically designed for theSony A7R III and A7 III cameras, the form-fitting cage offers additionalprotection and securely locks the camera to the cage. It also provides easyaccess to all controls and ports as well as multiple attachment points foraccessories.

For handheld shooting, the side 15 mm rod clamps, located at the back of the cage, are designed for quickly securing the new ergonomic Mini Push-Button Wooden Side Handles with Padded Straps using a single ratchet knob on each side (A73CHH). It also features an ARRI Standard Rosette that can be mounted in four different locations.

Top Handle

The ergonomic and removable SHAPE Top Handle wasdesigned to provide the required space for mounting the Sony XLR-K2M audiounit. It offers a comfortable and secure wooden grip for carrying your cameraand securing accessories.

It also features the SHAPE Push-Button Technology,enabling you to balance the weight and rotate the handle in the position youneed on a 360° axis. This nicely crafted Top Handle provides multiple mountingoptions, including ARRI Standard 3/8″-16 anti-rotating hole patterns on the top,SHAPE Standard 1/4″-20 anti-rotating hole patterns on the top and side, coldshoe mounts, and a 3/8″-16 UNC threaded hole at the front.

It also features the SHAPE Rod Clamp Holder positioning system at the front, allowing you to directly mount a 15mm rod onto the handle.

Quick ReleaseRod Base System and Metabones Adapter

The cage is connected to its base via the new SHAPE Quick Release Rod Base System using a specifically designed 15 mm rod bloc system for the optical center of the Sony A7R III camera. It allows quick mounting and dismounting of the camera and the cage can easily snap in and be quickly removed from its 15 mm LW base by pressing the release button at the rear of the mount for handheld shooting.

Quick handlerod bloc

The SHAPE Quick handle rod bloc is a professionalvideo stabilization accessory with 2 camera handle grips, each providing anindividual rotation angle of 360°. You can attach the handle to the cameraplatform using a simple screw knob.

A simple Push-Button located at the articulation allows easy attachment and removal. Combined with the anodized aluminum rod bloc, the quick handle offers composite camera support for all 15 mm rods. You can achieve precise positioning by sliding the Quick Handle along the rods and tightening the small red knob located on the Rod Bloc. The rod bloc is designed with 2 screw-threaded holes allowing the mounting of the Quick Handle.

Composite minishoulder pad

The SHAPE mini composite shoulder pad is padded for superior comfort and is made of slip-free material. It is designed with a 15 mm rod block on top allowing to hold 15 mm rods for camera and accessories to be attached. The screw knob allows attaching SHAPE counter-weight (PAD1, PADCW1).

By adding extra male-female rods at the back, you can also attach a counter-weight behind the same rods. This way, your body can easily support the weight of the camera and its accessories. The shoulder pad is also the perfect solution for switching rapidly from shoulder to tripod without having to remove the shoulder pad. It can remain on the camera rig permanently.

Backpad

The back pad (PAD1) features a powder coatedanodized aluminum plate and arm which are attached to a thick padding on theside facing the user. It is compatible with the SHAPE Mini Composite ShoulderPad (SHPAD3, SHPAD2, SHPAD1) and can be attached or remove easily from your rigvia a 1/4-20 camera screw knob. Additionally, the back pad’s position can beadjusted to the user’s preference – up to 2″ vertically and 360° horizontally.The bottom of the back pad is designed with (2) 1/4-20 threaded holes, allowingto attach other accessories or counterweights.
