Sony FS5, FS5M2 Baseplate

Small and lightweight baseplate is a perfect solutionfor PXW-FS5, FS5M2. It is designed to fit with all the key features of thecamera and is also perfect for drone and gimbal application. At the top of thebaseplate there are rubber pads so that the camera doesn’t sit directly on thealuminum.

The baseplate fits 15 mm standard rods, and the rods are secured with a red ratchet knob screw. On the side, you have ¼-20 threaded holes for mounting options. Under the baseplate, we added four (4) ¼-20 and two (2) 3/8-16 threaded holes that allow you to attach a tripod plate. To reduce the weight of the baseplate, we removed excess aluminum from the bottom of the plate during the machining process. It comes with a pair of Rods to let you add various SHAPE and third-party accessories compatible with 15 mm rods.

With these two rods and with a few fundamental accessories, you can most certainly even begin building your own rig from scratch. We also designed a removable support bracket for a METABONES® adapter (FS5MA) that can be added on the baseplate to support the weight and remove stress to the camera lens mount. Fixed with 2 screws in front of the baseplate, it can be removed when not needed. (1) ¼-20 and (1) 3/8-16 captive screw are included in this package to secure the camera’s position in translation and rotation so it won’t move.

For a precise positioning, we designed the bracket with a 3 mm vertical adjustment to make sure it’s well positioned for the best support. The baseplate includes a set of 15 mm 10 inches rods and is designed with a lightweight system for mounting any standard 15 mm accessories.

Sony FS5, FS5M2 Top Plate Viewfinder solution

The  2 rod clamps are designed to be mounted onthe SHAPE Sony FS5, FS5M2 top plate (FS5TP) for accessory options. A screenmount adapter on the rod allows you to adjust the Sony LCD screen closer orfarther away, according to your viewing needs.

The distance between the 2 rod clamps is standard 15 mm LW system and the rods are positioned for the optical center of the camera. It’s perfect for drone and gimbal application, and is designed with a lightweight system for mounting any standard 15 mm accessories. The rod clamp can also be rotated 90 degrees for other rigging options.

Sony FS5, FS5M2 Top Plate

The two-part top plate includes ¼-20 and 3/8-16 threaded holes for accessory attachment. It is designed to provide easy access to the camera’s sensors reference pin. It’s lightweight (70 g) and made of CNC aluminum. Another feature of the top plate is that it can be installed on one side only if required as it comes in two separate parts, and as such is perfect for drone and gimbal applications. The top plate system was designed with a lightweight system for mounting any standard 15 mm accessories. A top plate viewfinder solution  with rods and a Sony screen mount adaptor can be installed on the top plate (FS5TPKIT).

Sony FS5, FS5M2 Remote Extension Handle + Cable

The Remote Extension Handle for Sony FS5 or FS5M2Camera from SHAPE is a variable-length adjustable handle designed to repositionthe FS5 or FS5M2's remote grip away from the camera while retaining full remotefunctionality. Compact for both storage and travel, the arm measures just5.6" when folded and may be increased to a maximum length of 11" foruse. A length adjustment range of 2" is also provided to the user for amore customized and comfortable fit.

The handle easily mounts to the FS5 orFS5M2 using an ARRI style rosette connection and knob screw on one side, and anative Sony grip connection on the other. An included male to female LANCextension cable (LANCCO10) connects the remote grip to the camera body,maintaining full functionality after relocation.

The coiled male to femalecable features a LANC 2.5 mm male connector on one end and female on the other.It measures 10″ long from end-to-end when coiled, and approximately 20″ whenextended. The arm itself features SHAPE's patented push-button release which allows the joint to be rotated a full 360° to any required angle.

SHAPE is well known for its patented Push-button system, now used by so many professionals in the industry. The technology was developed to give filmmakers quick and easy adjustment. By simply pressing the button, you are allowed a 360-degree rotation to place the remote extension handle in the best position for your use. Push, adjust, release, and then its locked.
