Chasing Dory Explore is a small, compact and portable underwater drone built for both leisure and practical inspection tasks. It records video in full-HD (1080p), uses fast optics and has built-in LED headlights. Dory can dive down to 15 meters, making it suitable for people who want to explore and document the world beneath the surface without a diving certificate.
Use Dory Explore to search for underwater finds, document dive sites, or inspect boat hulls, docks and ports. Because it is compact and easy to use, it fits well with recreational treasure hunting as well as with boat clubs and boat owners who need a simple, affordable inspection tool.
Dory uses five propellers to control its movement in the water. Two propellers drive forward/backward motion and enable sideways steering. The remaining three propellers adjust dive depth and dive angle. The drone offers a lockable dive angle that can hold the camera at a +/- 45 degree angle. This lets you point the camera downward toward the bottom or upward toward a hull while the drone moves horizontally. In addition, Dory has a depth lock so it can hover steadily at a chosen depth.
The Chasing Dory app is available for both iOS and Android. The app includes 19 built-in filters for different image effects and makes it possible to share captured content directly to social media.
