Kit including Gladius Mini S, Backpack and Grabber Arm. The Gladius Mini S is a consumer-grade underwater drone designed for underwater photography, exploration, inspection and similar scenarios. This Flash Pack brings the Gladius Mini S together with a backpack for transport and a grabber arm for interaction and sample collection.
The Gladius Mini S performs a wide range of underwater tasks. For example, you can capture stills and video, inspect structures, or explore underwater environments. It reaches a maximum horizontal radius of 200 meters and a maximum dive depth of 100 meters, which gives you a broad operational envelope for many recreational and professional uses.
Moreover, the unit is suited for work in complex seabed conditions because it adopts CHASING’s patented anti-stuck motor technology. This technology effectively reduces the probability of the motor getting stuck in sand, allowing safer operation around sediment and irregular terrain.
The Gladius Mini S records 4K and 1080p video and captures 12 megapixel still images. It uses EIS (electronic image stabilization) to improve image stability during filming. Two powerful LEDs provide illumination when ambient light is low; together the LEDs deliver a total of 2400 lumens. You can store captured images and footage on a 64GB micro SD card.
Compared to the previous model, the Gladius Mini S now supports a variety of accessory mounts. It is compatible with the Grabber Claw and GoPro-style cameras, among other attachments. The new accessory mount function enables use of a robotic grabber to pick up objects and collect underwater sample materials. Additionally, you can mount a motion camera to capture images from multiple positions at the same time, expanding your documentation options.
The battery has been upgraded, increasing battery life by 70%. The Gladius Mini S achieves a runtime of 4 hours and recharges in 3.5 hours. For control and monitoring, the remote control and mobile phone or tablet connect directly by cable. This wired connection provides a more stable transmission and reduces the risk of disconnection during operation.
The platform supports live broadcasting and social media sharing, so you can stream or share footage as you operate. It also offers creative capture modes such as time-lapse and slow motion, along with quick editing of recorded images and videos. For external displays, the unit supports HDMI output to show footage on larger screens.
