The Datavideo BC-50 is a Full HD 1080p IP block camera with an integrated streaming encoder. It combines a 1/2.7" progressive scan CMOS sensor with network streaming and traditional broadcast outputs, making it suitable for live streaming, broadcast workflows, and fixed installation uses.
First, the BC-50 gives you Full HD capture with a progressive CMOS sensor, so you get consistent 1080p footage across common frame rates. Second, its 20x optical zoom plus 16x digital zoom means you can mount the camera at distance or up close and still retain detail when framing your subject.
Furthermore, you can integrate the BC-50 into established broadcast chains through its 3G-SDI output. At the same time, the built-in encoder supports common streaming workflows using RTMP over an RJ-45 network connection, which enables direct streaming to services such as Facebook and YouTube.
Finally, the camera supports industry-standard control protocols (VISCA, Pelco-D, Pelco-C) over RS-485, allowing remote PTZ-style control and long-distance transmit up to the stated range.

The BC-50 offers a 3G/HD-SDI video output for standard broadcast routing, plus an RJ-45 network connection for IP streaming. It supports RTMP for direct streaming to platforms such as Facebook and YouTube. For remote control, the camera accepts VISCA, Pelco-D and Pelco-C commands over RS-485, with transmit distances specified up to 1000m.
Question: Can I stream directly to online platforms with the BC-50?
Answer: Yes. The BC-50 supports RTMP streaming over an RJ-45 network connection and provides H.264/H.265 and Motion-JPEG compression options for streaming to services such as Facebook and YouTube.
Question: What physical outputs and inputs does the camera offer?
Answer: The camera provides a 3G/HD-SDI video output for broadcast workflows and a 3.5mm audio input for stream audio (stream output only). It also includes Ethernet for network streaming and firmware updates.
Question: How can I control the camera remotely and how far can I run control cabling?
Answer: Remote control uses VISCA, Pelco-D or Pelco-C protocols over RS-485. The RS-485 interface supports transmit distances up to 1000m, enabling long cable runs for installations.
Question: What mounting and accessory options are available?
Answer: The BC-50 has a 1/4-20 UNC tripod mount. Optional accessories listed include the PTR-10. The package includes the camera main unit and a DC 12V power adaptor.
Question: What power is required and what environmental range does the camera support?
Answer: The camera requires DC 12V at 6W. The specified operating temperature range is 0~40 °C.
