The Datavideo FS-30 footswitch provides direct wired control for Datavideo teleprompters. It connects via USB and offers three pedals that you can assign to independent functions. The unit uses non-contact photoelectric sensors to deliver near silent operation during use.
The FS-30 works with TP-700, TP-800 and TP-900 teleprompters running dvPrompter Plus version 1581 or newer. To set it up, connect the FS-30 to the white USB port on the teleprompters’ 15” LCD monitor. Once connected, the footswitch becomes active immediately. You do not need to change any control options inside the dvPrompter Plus application.
Because the FS-30 uses non-contact photoelectric sensors, it operates nearly silently and reduces wear compared with mechanical switches. Meanwhile, the three independent pedals let operators control different teleprompter functions without using the keyboard or touchscreen, which keeps hands free for other tasks.
