The Datavideo SE-4000 is a UHD videoswitcher designed for live production. It provides twelve physical inputs and seven outputs, while letting you select eight live channels from the available inputs. You operate key functions using a built-in 5” touch panel for fast, on-board control.
The SE-4000 accepts a mix of 12G-SDI and HDMI sources. You can choose which inputs run live, and you get multiple program outputs for simultaneous distribution.
The unit features a 5” touch panel that controls the switcher’s core functions. In addition, each input supports up/down scaling so you can match different source resolutions before mixing them live.
The SE-4000 includes multiple compositing and transition tools for live productions. These tools let you build layered scenes and switch between sources with various styles.
Use the SE-4000 for live event switching, multi-camera broadcasts, or corporate productions where you need flexible input selection and multiple outputs. The scaling per input and on-board chroma keying make it suitable for mixed-resolution sources and simple virtual sets.

Question: Can I mix SDI and HDMI sources and use them as live channels?
Answer: Yes. The SE-4000 provides 8 x 12G-SDI and 4 x HDMI physical inputs and lets you select any eight live channels from the total of twelve inputs, so you can mix SDI and HDMI sources as needed.
Question: How many outputs can I send program video to at once?
Answer: The unit offers seven simultaneous outputs: 4 x 12G-SDI and 3 x HDMI, allowing you to feed multiple recorders, monitors, or downstream devices concurrently.
Question: Does the switcher handle different source resolutions?
Answer: Yes. The SE-4000 includes up/down scaling on each input, so you can match and integrate sources with differing resolutions before switching or compositing.
Question: What compositing tools are available for live graphics and keys?
Answer: The switcher includes two chromakey engines for green/blue screen work, two downstream keyers (DSK) for graphics and overlays, and four PIP windows for multi-source layouts.
Question: Which transition types can I use for switching between sources?
Answer: You can use Wipe, Mix, DVE, Cut and Stinger transitions to move between sources and create professional-looking live transitions.
