The Hollyland Mars 4K wireless video transmission system delivers 4K UHD capability with a long line-of-sight (LOS) range and extremely low latency. It combines high-resolution transmission, flexible connectivity, and practical monitoring options in a design built for field use.
The Mars 4K supports 4K UHD video transmission at 30 fps for high-resolution production. It also handles FHD and HD formats across common frame rates: 24p, 30p, and 60p. These options give you flexibility for different shooting and broadcast requirements.
The system achieves a LOS range of 150 m with an ultra-low latency of 0.06 s. The upgraded dual-core codec chip supports a data transfer rate up to 12 Mbps. Note: the 150 m LOS range is based on interference-free laboratory measurements.
The Mars 4K supports both HDMI and SDI input and output for wide compatibility with cameras, monitors and recorders. The SDI interface provides expanded frame rate flexibility for broadcast and production frame rate standards, including decimal-point frame rates used in production and postproduction workflows.
The transmitter side of the Mars 4K can connect with up to two receivers, or with up to four mobile devices running the Hollyland app. Allowing up to four mobile viewers enables multiple on-set roles—such as director, producer, lighting or audio personnel—to monitor the shoot simultaneously.
The Mars 4K features corrosion- and wear-resistant construction with bullet-styled antennas that remain attached for fast setup without disassembly. A color LCD and a rocker-style, gamepad-inspired button provide a user-friendly UI for quick configuration and status checks. Smart channel scan and selection options help identify occupied channels and automatically choose a stable connection on startup.
The Mars 4K supports a wide range of DC power inputs from 6 V to 16 V. It accepts NP-F type batteries and can be powered via USB Type-C chargers, giving you multiple field power choices.

Question: What range can I expect from the Mars 4K in real-world conditions?
Answer: The Mars 4K can reach a line-of-sight range of 150 m based on laboratory, interference-free testing. Real-world range will depend on local interference, obstructions and the operating environment, so expect variations in busy RF conditions.
Question: How low is the latency, and is it suitable for live monitoring?
Answer: The system provides ultra-low latency of 0.06 s, which supports near real-time monitoring for many production workflows. This low latency makes it suitable for director and on-set monitoring, especially when paired with compatible receivers or mobile devices.
Question: Which video interfaces does the Mars 4K support?
Answer: The Mars 4K supports both HDMI and SDI input and output. SDI adds frame rate flexibility for broadcast and production standards, while HDMI provides broad compatibility with consumer and professional gear.
Question: How many people can monitor a feed simultaneously?
Answer: A single Mars 4K transmitter can work with up to two hardware receivers or up to four mobile devices running the Hollyland app, allowing multiple team members—such as director, producer and crew—to view the feed at the same time.
Question: What power options are available on the Mars 4K?
Answer: The unit accepts DC power from 6 V to 16 V, supports NP-F style batteries and can be powered via USB Type-C chargers, giving you flexibility for different on-set power setups.
