The Hollyland Mars M1 Enhanced combines transmitter, receiver, and monitor into a single, portable unit. It provides a responsive touch display with professional analysis tools, flexible power options, and wireless transmission designed for real-time monitoring on set. You can switch modes in the settings interface and connect the transmitter to multiple receivers or mobile apps for versatile deployment.
The Mars M1 Enhanced functions as a transmitter, receiver, and monitor. You can change between transmitter and receiver modes from the device settings. In transmitter mode, a single Mars M1 Enhanced can connect to up to two receivers or up to four mobile device apps, enabling multiple people to monitor the same feed simultaneously.
The unit also integrates with Hollyland’s Mars Pro series and Mars 4K systems, reducing the need for separate devices and simplifying your setup across compatible systems.
Note: When you disable wireless mode, the Mars M1 Enhanced operates only as a monitor. Disabling wireless reduces power consumption.
Compatible with:
The Mars M1 Enhanced features a responsive 5.5" touch LCD screen and is also referenced as a 5" touch LCD in some materials. The screen supports HDR monitoring and reaches up to 1,000 nits of brightness for improved outdoor visibility. It ships with factory color calibration and gives you options to fine-tune RGB gain and reset to default values if needed.
The monitor supports the Rec.709 color gamut and accepts custom 3D LUTs to match specific color profiles or to emulate camera looks. You can transfer LUTs using a USB flash drive formatted as FAT32 or NTFS via the USB-C OTG adapter supplied in the box.
The Mars M1 Enhanced offers a line-of-sight (LOS) wireless range of up to 450ft (150m) and an ultra-low latency of 0.08 seconds. This performance supports flexible device placement and near real-time video monitoring with minimal delay.
Note: The 450ft (150m) LOS range is based on interference-free laboratory measurements. The 0.08s latency measurement applies when transmitting 1080p60 signals.
The monitor supports HDMI and SDI inputs for broad connectivity with cameras and other devices. It accepts 4K/30fps HDMI input and provides HDMI loop-out for additional displays. The unit also supports decimal frame rates to match a variety of sources and workflows.
The Mars M1 Enhanced runs Hollyland’s revised operating system, which includes a comprehensive set of monitoring tools. Use the built-in waveform, vectorscope, zebra pattern, aspect mark, anamorphic desqueeze, and crosshatch to analyze and refine each shot directly on the monitor.
Use the HollyView app to expand preview and monitoring capabilities on mobile devices. The app supports image overlay, anamorphic desqueeze, sharpness adjustments, and other image analysis functions to match monitoring needs across devices.
The Mars M1 Enhanced includes a smart channel scan feature. It identifies which channels are occupied and which are available, helping you select interference-free channels at startup and maintain a stable wireless link during shooting.
The monitor supports automatic trigger recording and internal playback to review footage directly on the device. The recording function supports up to two minutes of recording time per clip. Recorded files cannot be exported and will be deleted when the device is powered off or when a new recording is started.
The unit ships with custom capsule antennas that simplify setup by eliminating repeated disassembly and reassembly. The housing uses a highly impact-resistant shell with a frosted texture to improve grip and durability in demanding working conditions.
Approximate weight is noted at 400g (14.1oz).
The Mars M1 Enhanced supports multiple power sources to fit different shooting scenarios. You can power it via DC input (7V to 16V), NP-F battery, or D-Tap battery. The DC input and output feature locking nut support for a secure connection, and the DC output can also supply power to a camera when needed.
Hollyland offers optional accessories to expand handholding and protection options. These include a rosewood one-handed grip, a T-shaped handle, a wrist strap, a shoulder strap, and a monitor hood to improve visibility and protect the screen on set.
