The Hollyland Pyro H is a professional wireless video receiver that delivers 4K30 HDMI output with very low latency. It supports long line-of-sight transmission and multiple power options, and it also works as a UVC plug-and-play source for streaming and conferencing.
The Pyro H receives wireless video and outputs it via HDMI 1.4b. You can monitor 4K30 signals with clarity and minimal delay. In practical use, the receiver accepts line-of-sight transmissions up to 1300' (396.2 m) and offers a stable transmission link suitable for professional broadcast and filmmaking workflows.
The system supports a Wi‑Fi broadcast mode in which one transmitter can connect to up to four receivers. When broadcast mode is active, the documented line-of-sight range reaches 650' (198.1 m) for multi-receiver operation. When broadcast mode is deactivated, the transmitter supports up to two receivers plus two mobile devices, and the line-of-sight range extends to 1300' (396.2 m). These two operating modes let you choose a balance between the number of endpoints and maximum range.
The Pyro H transmits up to UHD 4K at 30 fps and preserves crisp detail for professional applications. It offers a low latency of 60 ms, and it includes two transmission modes so you can prioritize image quality or smoothness. In HD mode, the bit rate can reach up to 12 Mb/s to favor image detail. Smooth mode lets the system adjust latency dynamically when needed.
The receiver includes a USB-C port that supports USB Video Class (UVC). As a result, you can plug the Pyro H directly into a computer for plug-and-play streaming without installing additional drivers. This makes it convenient for live streaming, conferencing, and other computer-based workflows.
On startup, the Pyro H can automatically select a high-quality frequency channel. You can also run the smart channel scan on the receiver to view real-time frequency feedback and choose the clearest channel. In addition, preset grouping and pairing reduce repetitive manual setup when you use multiple transmitters and receivers.
The Pyro H supports multiple power sources to suit different shooting environments. It accepts a locking DC power adapter, an NP-F–style L-series battery via an optional battery plate, or a USB-C power supply (5–12 V). The USB-C option is particularly useful when you want to power the unit from a stabilizer or other compact power source to reduce rig weight.

Question: Can I use the Pyro H for live streaming to a computer?
Answer: Yes. The Pyro H supports USB Video Class (UVC) over USB-C, so you can connect it to a computer for plug-and-play streaming without installing extra drivers.
Question: How many receivers can connect to one transmitter?
Answer: In broadcast mode, one transmitter can connect to up to four receivers. When broadcast mode is off, the transmitter can connect to up to two receivers and two mobile devices.
Question: What range and latency can I expect on set?
Answer: The documented line-of-sight ranges are 1300' (396.2 m) and 650' (198.1 m) depending on mode and configuration, with latency as low as 60 ms for responsive monitoring.
Question: What power options are available for the receiver?
Answer: You can power the Pyro H via a locking DC adapter, an NP-F–style L-series battery with an optional plate, or through the USB-C port (5–12 V), allowing flexible setups for different rigs.
Question: Does the Pyro H support embedded audio and timecode?
Answer: Yes. Audio is embedded via HDMI, and the unit supports timecode to help keep multi-device workflows synchronized.
Question: Which frequency bands and Wi‑Fi standard does it use?
Answer: The Pyro H operates on dual-band 2.4 & 5 GHz frequencies and uses Wi‑Fi 4 (802.11n) for wireless transmission, with selectable channel bandwidths of 40 MHz and 20 MHz.
