The Kupo KCP-220B is a 20" extension grip arm that pairs a 2½" grip head with a long steel tube and a large handle. It gives you a secure mounting point for flags, scrims, silks and other accessories, and it provides a non-slip surface and positive locking control where you need it.
The arm features a 2½" grip head mounted on the end of a 20" piece of steel tubing. You can use it to position gobos such as flags, scrims and silks, as well as other accessories, virtually anywhere. The assembly combines a durable grip head and a long reach arm to offer flexible placement options on set.
The tubing is 5/8" (16mm) in diameter and is machined to create a rough texture. As a result, the surface provides a non-slip grip. The long tube and big handle make it easier to reach and manipulate mounted accessories at distance.
The 2½" grip head consists of rotating aluminum discs attached to a 5/8" (16mm) receiver. The discs include four different sized V-shaped jaws that accept accessories with 5/8", 1/2", 3/8" or 1/4" mounting studs or tubing. The V-shaped jaws have teeth that grab whatever you mount between the plates securely.
Meanwhile, the grip head uses a non-slip aluminum friction disc to maintain durability and provide positive locking strength. It also features an oversized ergonomic T-handle and dedicated roller bearings designed to deliver maximum torque and precise control when tightening or loosening the head.
The grip head is constructed around a solid steel central stift with a fixed solid pin that secures it to the aluminum casting. This construction increases strength and durability, helping the head hold accessories securely over repeated use. The rotating discs are aluminum, while the tubing and central stift are steel.
