The Kupo KCP-240 40" Extension Grip Arm combines a 2 1/2" grip head with a long, machined steel tube to give you secure positioning and extended reach. The grip head mounts directly to the end of a 40" piece of steel tubing, and the tubing surface is machined to provide a rough, non-slip texture for safer handling and more reliable grip during use.
This unit features a 2-1/2" grip head that consists of a pair of rotating aluminum discs attached to a 5/8" (16 mm) receiver. The discs include four different sized V-shaped jaws to accept a wide range of accessories and studs. The V-shaped jaws have teeth that bite into the mounted item, holding it firmly between the plates.
The grip head comes with an oversized ergonomic T handle for easy tightening and quick adjustments. Dedicated roller bearings are built into the head to provide maximum torque when you secure accessories. A non-slip aluminum friction disc helps maintain positive locking strength and precise control over time.
The grip head is constructed around a solid steel central stift and includes a fixed solid pin that secures the stift to the aluminum casting. This design increases strength and durability where it matters most. The main arm is made from machined steel tubing with a 5/8" (16 mm) diameter, finished in a silver machined steel look.
The 40" grip arm is almost always used with a 2 1/2" grip head to give complete flexibility when positioning gobos such as flags, scrims, and silks. It also accepts other accessories, allowing you to mount and position various tools virtually anywhere on set. The long reach of the 40" arm aids in placing modifiers and grip gear without repositioning stands or ladders.
