This Kupo KS-022 Baby 5in Grip Arm Pin is a 5" (12.7cm) steel baby 5/8" (16mm) pin designed to mount in the head of a grip head or grip arm. You install the pin so that a few inches remain exposed, allowing a light fixture or any accessory with a baby receiver to be mounted directly on the pin.
Mount the pin into the head of a grip head or grip arm. Once mounted, the exposed portion accepts fixtures and accessories that use a baby (5/8") receiver. The combination of a grip head and grip arm gives flexibility to position lights and accessories virtually anywhere on a set.
Additionally, the pin includes an end collar that prevents a mounted fixture or accessory from slipping through the grip head if the assembly ever loosens unexpectedly. This feature helps protect your gear and maintain secure positioning during use.
Use this pin when you need a straightforward, secure mounting point for lights or accessories that have a baby receiver. The combination of a grip head and grip arm plus this pin provides flexible placement on stands and rigs. The machined knurled recess enhances grip for mounted items, and the end collar reduces the risk of hardware slipping through the grip head if it loosens.

Question: What accessories can I mount on this pin?
Answer: You can mount any light fixture or accessory that uses a baby (5/8") receiver. The pin is designed specifically for baby receivers and is meant to be used when installed in a grip head or grip arm.
Question: How does the end collar protect my gear?
Answer: The end collar prevents the pin from slipping all the way through the grip head if the assembly loosens unexpectedly, helping to keep attached fixtures or accessories from falling off and reducing the risk of damage.
Question: What is the purpose of the knurled recess?
Answer: The knurled recess is machined into the pin to provide a better grip for attached fixtures and accessories, which helps reduce slipping and improves stability when mounting gear.
Question: What do the 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads do?
Answer: The head of the pin is tapped with a 1/4"-20 thread and the collar or tail end is tapped with a 3/8"-16 thread. These threaded points allow compatibility with accessories or collars that use those common thread sizes.
