The Kupo KS-182 China Ball Bracket provides a simple holder and socket solution for paper lanterns used in film and video. It creates natural, soft light that helps achieve pleasant skin tones. Use it with lanterns and bulbs intended for photographic and video work.
The frame uses 3/16’’ (5mm) steel with a chrome plated surface treatment for durability. You can interchange the frame by removing the screw nuts to fit a different size of paper lantern. A rotatable steel ring lets you control the output of light while fabric or gel is attached, so you can adjust spread and direction quickly on set.
The bracket includes a ceramic lamp socket firmly fixed on a round metal plate to keep the bulb from wobbling. The top cable gland features an anti-kinking spiral design to prevent the cable from loosening under vibration.
The round plate underneath the socket is pre-drilled to provide flexible mounting options with grip equipment. The bracket includes both thread adapter options for common mounting needs.
Use the KS-182 when you need a quick lantern holder and reliable socket for soft, even illumination in interviews, narrative scenes, or any production where natural skin tones matter. It fits traditional China ball (paper lantern) setups and adapts to different lantern sizes when needed.
