The Kupo KS-270 V-Lock Wedge provides a precise and secure interface between V-mount batteries and mounting equipment. Machined from black anodized aluminum, the wedge reduces unwanted movement and ensures a tight fit on standard V-mount batteries. It ships with the screws needed to attach and stabilize the wedge for reliable use on compatible gear.
The wedge is designed to attach a V-mount battery to equipment that uses Kupo’s V-lock base (KS-271). You can also mount the wedge directly to any device that provides a 3/8”-16 female threaded hole, using the included 3/8”-16 screw. For extra stability and to prevent rotation, use the supplied 1/4”-20 set screw in the wedge’s 1/4”-20 tapped hole while the 3/8”-16 screw is tightened.
The KS-270 ships ready for installation and includes all necessary fasteners to secure the wedge and the battery:

Question: Will the KS-270 attach to any V-mount battery?
Answer: Yes. The wedge is designed with three M3 holes and matching M3 screws to firmly fix onto any standard V-mount battery.
Question: Can I mount the wedge to my rig or accessory directly?
Answer: Yes. The KS-270 features a central 3/8”-16 tapped hole and includes a 3/8”-16 screw to mount to equipment with a 3/8”-16 female thread. For added anti-rotation stability, use the supplied 1/4”-20 set screw in the wedge’s 1/4”-20 tapped hole while the 3/8”-16 screw is tightened.
Question: What prevents the battery or wedge from twisting after installation?
Answer: The wedge includes a 1/4”-20 tapped hole and a 1/4”-20 set screw specifically to prevent twisting while the wedge is fastened via the 3/8”-16 tapped hole, providing a more secure connection.
Question: Is the KS-270 compatible with Kupo V-lock base KS-271?
Answer: Yes. The wedge is intended to allow attachment of a V-mount battery to mounting equipment that uses Kupo’s V-lock base (KS-271), enabling straightforward integration with that specific base.
