This 12 meter cable provides a head extension for Nanlite Forza fixtures that use an 8-pin output socket. It matches Forza LED spotlights and gives you more placement flexibility for the light head and Control Unit.
The cable uses locking, 8-pin connectors and is compatible with the following Forza LED Spotlights:
Because the cable measures 12 meters, it is more than twice the length of the 16.4 (5 m) head cable that comes included with the Forza 720 and 720B. Therefore, you can position the Control Unit farther away and mount the light head higher or in less accessible locations.
Please note: If you use an older Forza model — for example the Forza 500, 300, 300B, or 200 — compatible head cables for those units include the CB-FZ-2.5 and the longer CB-FZ-5.
The cable uses multiple layers designed to improve durability and signal integrity. Specifically, it features:
With this longer head extension cable, you get practical benefits on set. First, you can place the Control Unit well away from the light head, which frees up rigging and mounting options. Second, the extra distance helps reduce audible and electrical interference by moving the Control Unit further from subjects, cameras, and microphones. In short, the cable increases mounting versatility and can improve capture conditions.

Question: Will this 12m cable work with older Forza models?
Answer: For older Forza models such as the Forza 500, 300, 300B, or 200, Nanlite offers compatible head cables named CB-FZ-2.5 and CB-FZ-5. This 12m cable is specifically listed as compatible with Forza 720/720B, 500 II/500B II, and 300 II/300B II.
Question: Can I place the Control Unit far from the light when using this cable?
Answer: Yes. The 12 meter length lets you position the Control Unit much farther away than the standard 5 m head cable, enabling higher mounts, different boom setups, and more flexible placement relative to cameras and microphones.
Question: Does the cable reduce interference or noise on set?
Answer: The cable includes wired mesh and aluminum foil shielding along with high purity copper conductors, which help reduce electrical interference. Moving the Control Unit away from the subject and microphones further helps minimize noise issues.
Question: Is the connector secure for studio and location use?
Answer: Yes. The cable uses locking 8-pin connectors to ensure a stable and secure connection between the light head and the Control Unit during studio or location shoots.
