The Nanlite Forza 200 is a daylight-balanced LED monolight designed for filmmakers and photographers who need a compact, versatile lighting solution. It delivers accurate color reproduction, offers multiple control options, and remains portable thanks to a separated control unit and a lightweight head.
The Forza 200 produces a daylight color temperature of 5600K. It provides high color accuracy with a CRI of 98 and a TLCI of 95, ensuring consistent and reliable color rendering for video and photo work.
The fixture offers strong output when paired with its included reflector: the head can deliver 34,890 lux at 1 meter. At a distance of 3 meters the photometric rating is 306.3 foot-candles / 3,297 lux at 5600K, giving you a clear idea of the light’s real-world illumination performance.
The Forza 200 is dimmable from 0 to 100%, so you can fine-tune intensity locally on the head. For remote control, it supports DMX and proprietary 2.4 GHz wireless control (via an optional transmitter). You can also operate it from a lighting console through DMX.
Nanlite built 11 practical lighting effects into the Forza 200. These presets help you simulate complex scenarios quickly, saving time on set. The effects include:
Additionally, the head uses a quiet cooling fan, and you can switch the fan off when absolute silence is required in sound-sensitive environments.
The Forza 200 features a near-universal Bowens-style light modifier mount, so it works with a wide range of modifiers such as fresnels, softboxes, and umbrellas. Nanlite also integrated an umbrella holder into the yoke for added convenience on set.
To reduce the weight of the light head, the control unit is separate from the fixture head. This lets you position the heavier control unit off the light while maintaining the full output of the lamp. The package includes a yoke and a 16mm receiver that fit industry-standard light stands.
Power-wise, the Forza 200 supports worldwide AC operation via its 110–240 VAC power supply. For location work, it also accepts optional 14.8V V-mount batteries when mains power is not available, giving you flexibility on shoots away from power sources.
The unit also includes a USB port for firmware updates, which keeps the light open to future improvements and additional features that Nanlite may release.
