The Nanlite Forza 500B II Bi-Color LED Spotlight combines a lightweight, compact head with an adjustable CCT range of 2700K–6500K. It keeps the redesigned Control Unit and high output of the Forza 500 II while adding bi-color versatility for professional video and photo productions.

Key features and benefits

The Forza 500B II delivers strong, color-accurate light from a compact package. It uses a protected, frosted-glass covered COB and a WW(RG) LED source with a light-mixing chamber that enables a green-to-magenta (G/M) adjustment of +/- 80 for better matching with ambient light or other fixtures.

The upgraded Control Unit supports multiple power options and runs efficiently on AC power or with side-mounted V-Mount batteries in 26V or 14.4V–14.8V formats (batteries sold separately). It operates without a fan in the head and provides dimming in fine 0.1% increments for precise intensity control.

Control and connectivity

Forza 500B II gives you several control methods. You can use Bluetooth through the free NANLINK app for iOS and Android. The fixture also supports built-in 2.4G control, DMX/RDM with locking ports for advanced setups, and wireless accessories such as the WS-RC-C2 Remote Control and the WS-TB-1 Transmitter Box (both sold separately).

A USB port on the Control Unit allows firmware updates to add features over time. The USB port can also supply power to wireless DMX receivers or other devices (receivers sold separately).

Design and handling

Nanlite designed the Forza 500B II and its Control Unit with intentional form and function. The rectangular heads and Control Units stack easily for setup, breakdown, and storage. The Control Unit places all cables on top so the flat base can sit on surfaces while in use, and the battery plates on the sides are easy to access.

The yoke rotates 360° and is curved to provide greater tilting range when using large modifiers. It features a stepless, one-sided lock for quick and precise positioning, an umbrella mount for additional light shaping, and a base compatible with both 5/8" baby pins and 1 1/8" junior pins. The included quick-release clamp is durable, works with round or square stands and trusses, and is simple to operate.

Cooling and noise

The fan system on the Control Unit offers four modes: Smart, Full Speed, Low Speed, and Off for silent operation when required. Meanwhile, the head itself operates without a fan.

Light shaping and accessories

Forza 500B II is compatible with a wide range of Bowens-mount light modifiers, including Nanlite’s own modifiers. The kit includes a 55° RF-BM Bowens mount reflector. You can also use other accessories such as the FL-20G Fresnel with metal barn doors (sold separately) to substantially increase output or shape the beam.

User interface and presets

The Control Unit features an easy-to-read OLED screen, intuitive onboard controls, and a Lock button to prevent accidental changes. The unit includes 12 built-in effects that you can customize and save as presets through the NANLINK app.

Portability and packing

Nanlite provides a redesigned padded carrying case with improved cushioning to safely hold the head, Control Unit, and included accessories. The compact form factor and stackable design make the fixture convenient to transport and store.
