This NiSi Cine Nano IRND filter reduces exposure and darkens the entire image, so you can shoot with a wider aperture or a slower shutter speed than you otherwise could. By slowing exposure time or increasing aperture, you gain precise control over depth of field and can better convey motion in your footage.
NiSi designed this neutral density filter to maintain accurate color reproduction while providing consistent attenuation across visible and infrared wavelengths. The filter targets both visible and infrared light to reduce the risk of color casts that can appear with extended exposures on digital sensors.
Each surface of the filter receives one layer of NiSi Optical Nano Coating. This coating attenuates infrared light as well as visible wavelengths to help preserve color neutrality and produce truer blacks during longer exposures. The filter is constructed from optical glass to prioritize clarity and color fidelity.
This product ships with the NiSi Nano IRND filter and a leatherette pouch for safe storage and transport. The filter’s construction and coating are optimized for use on digital sensors and for stacking with other filters when needed.

Question: What does this NiSi Nano IRND filter do?
Answer: It reduces overall exposure and darkens the image, allowing you to use a wider aperture or a longer shutter speed to control depth of field and convey movement.
Question: Will this filter change my image colors?
Answer: No. The NiSi Nano IRND is designed to be color neutral. Each surface has a NiSi Optical Nano Coating that attenuates infrared and visible light to minimize color casts and preserve natural color rendition.
Question: Is this filter suitable to use with other filters?
Answer: Yes. The neutral density design does not affect coloration, which makes it ideal for pairing with other filters when stacking is required.
Question: How is the filter packaged and protected?
Answer: The filter is constructed from optical glass with a scratch resistant finish and it comes with a leatherette pouch for storage and transport.
