The NiSi Cine Filter Nano IRND 6x6" 1.5 reduces exposure and darkens the entire image. This lets you shoot with a wider aperture or a slower shutter speed than normally required. As a result, you can control depth of field and convey motion more easily in your footage or photos.
Use this neutral density filter when you want to slow exposure time or increase aperture without overexposing the image. Consequently, you gain more creative control over depth of field and motion blur. In other words, the filter helps you achieve looks that would otherwise require different lighting or camera settings.
NiSi designed this filter specifically for use with digital sensors. The filter promotes nearly flat attenuation of visible and infrared light. Moreover, NiSi applies one layer of its Optical Nano Coating to each surface. That coating attenuates infrared as well as visible wavelengths to maintain color neutrality and suppress color casts that can happen during increased exposure times.

Question: What does this filter do?
Answer: It provides exposure reduction and darkens the entire image, allowing you to shoot with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. This makes it easier to control depth of field and convey movement.
Question: Will this filter change my image coloration?
Answer: The NiSi Nano IRND filter is intended to not affect the coloration of the image. Additionally, its Nano Optical Coating attenuates infrared as well as visible wavelengths to maintain color neutrality and suppress color casts during longer exposures.
Question: Is this filter suitable for digital sensors?
Answer: Yes. The filter’s design has been optimized for use with digital sensors and promotes nearly flat attenuation of visible and infrared light.
Question: What is the filter made of and what comes with it?
Answer: The filter is constructed from optical glass and is 4mm thick. It includes one layer of NiSi Optical Nano Coating on each surface, offers scratch resistance, and comes with a leatherette pouch for storage and transport.
