The Athena Prime series spans focal lengths from 14mm up to 135mm, giving you options from super-wide to portrait-length primes within the same optical family. Across the series, NiSi specifies true T-stop ratings so you get consistent exposure when switching lenses:

Mounts and filter system

The Athena Prime series is available in multiple mount options: ARRI PL, Canon RF, Sony E, Panasonic/Leica L and Fuji G. NiSi implemented a proprietary rear filtration system for creative control:

• RF-, L- and G-Mount lenses include a Drop-In filter option.
• E-Mount lenses will be available in two versions: with and without a Drop-In filter option.
• PL-mount lenses use a rear filter configuration.

Important: for RF-, L-, G- and E-mount (where applicable) you must use the Drop-In clear filter, and for PL-mount use the rear filter with the lens to achieve infinity focus and obtain clear images.

Note: Sony FX9 cannot use the E-Mount with Drop-In filters.

NiSi also provides a weather-sealed option for the Drop-In filter to protect the rear filtration element from the elements.

• All Athena Prime lenses are similar in weight, so they do not require rebalancing on a gimbal when switching between lenses in the series.

• Both focus and iris gears use the standard 0.8 mod, making the lenses compatible with most follow focus and matte box systems.
• Focus rotation is 300° and the lenses include fluorescent focus scales in both imperial and metric units for precise focus pulls.

Optional accessories and close-up capability

NiSi offers a 77mm close-up lens that can reduce the minimum focus distance and produce macro-style effects. This close-up lens is sold separately and fits the Athena primes that share the 77mm filter thread.
