This NiSi Circular ND32000 (15 Stop) neutral density filter is designed specifically for use with the NiSi S6 150mm filter holder system. It screws into the NiSi S6 150mm filter holder adapter ring after the kit’s included Pro Screw-In Circular Polarizer Filter has been removed. When mounted, the filter provides a full 15-stop exposure reduction to enable extended exposures and greater control over depth of field.

This 15-stop neutral density filter gives you practical control when shooting in bright conditions. For example, you can open your aperture wider to achieve a shallower depth of field even in strong light, or you can slow your shutter speed to capture motion and create smooth, flowing effects in clouds or water. Photographers commonly use the ND32000 for dramatic long exposures lasting around 3–6 minutes in daylight to show cloud movement or soften details in skies and water.
Moreover, the filter helps when the scene’s dynamic range is too wide. By reducing the overall exposure, it becomes easier to balance highlights and shadows and obtain a more even and usable exposure without altering scene composition or relying solely on post-processing.
Install the filter by screwing it into the NiSi S6 150mm adapter ring after you remove the kit’s Pro Screw-In Circular Polarizer Filter. This design allows quick switching between polarization and heavy neutral density filtration. Keep in mind that if you have an older S5 adapter, you must use the S6 holder frame in combination with that adapter to mount the ND32000 correctly.
Also, take advantage of the NiSi Pro Nano Coating to keep the glass clean and protected. The coating reduces reflections and provides a waterproof and scratch-resistant surface, which helps when removing fingerprints, dust, or water stains from the filter.
Question: Will this filter change the color of my images?
Answer: No. NiSi ND filters are designed to be neutral and do not affect image coloration. They deliver true-to-life color while reducing exposure.
Question: Can I use this filter with the NiSi S6 holder right away?
Answer: Yes. The filter is designed to screw into a NiSi S6 150mm filter holder adapter ring once you remove the kit’s Pro Screw-In Circular Polarizer Filter. If you have an older S5 adapter, combine it with the S6 holder frame as noted.
Question: Why does infrared protection matter with this ND filter?
Answer: When using a strong neutral density filter at small apertures, the camera can become more vulnerable to infrared light, which may cast an unwanted red color in photos. The ND32000 includes an infrared protection coating layer to eliminate that infrared light and restore natural color.
Question: What kind of long exposures can I achieve?
Answer: This filter is widely used for extreme long exposure work. In daylight conditions, photographers often capture exposures lasting about 3–6 minutes to create effects like cloud movement and cloud softening.
Question: How do I keep the filter clean and protected?
Answer: The NiSi Pro Nano Coating helps reduce reflections and provides a waterproof and scratch-resistant surface. This makes it easier to clean fingerprints, dust, and water stains without risking damage to the optical glass.
