The NiSi IP-A Filter Holder for iPhone brings professional filter use to your mobile photography and videography. It uses NiSi’s patented quick bayonet mount so you can attach circular NiSi IP-A filters or add the NiSi P2 square filter holder for square filters. The system attaches securely to the phone and allows stacking of multiple filters for creative control.
The IP-A Filter Holder mounts to the top of the phone. A locking screw fastens to the front of the phone to secure the holder. Meanwhile, a registration hole lines up with the corresponding registration point on the phone’s back to ensure correct alignment. To secure the holder in place, turn the locking screw clockwise until the IP-A holder is tight and stable.
The IP-A accepts NiSi IP-A circular filters and the holder allows stacking of multiple circular filters. You can stack up to three circular NiSi IP-A filters (sold separately). Follow the bayonet alignment to install each filter and tighten by turning clockwise.
Note: When you use two circular IP-A filters and switch the phone to 0.5X camera mode, the system does not produce vignetting under those conditions.
If you prefer square filters, attach the NiSi P2 Square filter holder (sold separately) to the IP-A. The connection uses the same bayonet system, so installation follows a similar alignment and tightening routine.
Use the IP-A holder when you want to add neutral density, polarizing, or creative glass to your iPhone shots. Stack filters when you need combined effects, or attach the P2 square holder when you require a larger filter format. The quick bayonet mount helps you adapt swiftly during shoots.
question: Which filters can I use with the NiSi IP-A holder?
Answer: The IP-A holder accepts NiSi IP-A circular filters and can also accept the NiSi P2 square filter holder (sold separately), which lets you use square filters.
question: How many circular filters can I stack, and will that cause vignetting?
Answer: You can stack up to three circular NiSi IP-A filters. Specifically, when using two circular IP-A filters and the phone’s camera is set to 0.5X mode, the system does not produce vignetting.
question: How do I attach the filter holder to my iPhone?
Answer: Place the IP-A holder on the top of the phone, align the registration hole with the phone’s registration point, and turn the locking screw clockwise until the holder is secure. The locking screw fastens at the front of the phone for a stable fit.
question: Can I keep my phone case on when using the IP-A holder?
Answer: Yes. The NiSi IP-A works with most phone cases, so you usually do not need to remove your case to use the holder.
question: Is the P2 square filter holder included with the IP-A holder?
Answer: No. The NiSi P2 square filter holder is sold separately and attaches to the IP-A via the same bayonet alignment and clockwise tightening method described above.
