How the polarizer works

You rotate the polarizer using two easily accessible exterior adjustment wheels, so you do not need to detach the holder to change polarization. Additionally, the holder includes a new locking screw that lets you secure the rotating filter assembly in any position for stable shooting.

Design and materials

The S6 filter holder is made of aluminum alloy with a matt painted finish to reduce reflections. Inside, NiSi has added a flocking material to help eliminate internal reflections and avoid glaring in images. The holder uses an octagon-design to make it easier and faster to install and remove 150 mm square ND filters.

Adapter and compatibility

This S6 kit ships with an adapter tailored for the Sigma 14-24 F2.8 E-Mount, a lens that lacks a normal filter thread. You can exchange the adapter to use the holder with other lenses if needed. Note that the polarizer included is built specifically for use in the S6 adapter and cannot be mounted directly on a lens. The S6 polarizer can also be used on the S5 filter holder, but the S5 polarizer cannot be used on the S6 filter holder.
