This NiSi IP-A Allure Streak Blue filter produces a single, elongated blue streak from a point light source. It uses a single series of etched lines, spaced 2mm apart, that run across the filter surface to render the streak effect. The filter emulates the horizontal streaks commonly seen with anamorphic lenses while fitting the NiSi IP-A system for iPhone.
The filter’s etched lines diffract and shape light from a point source, creating one pronounced horizontal ray. Because the lines are spaced 2mm apart and run across the surface, the result is a distinct, elongated blue streak. You can rotate the filter to change the streak’s orientation and better match your composition.
To install the NiSi IP-A circular filter:
If you need to stack multiple filters, follow these steps:
We recommend using longer focal lengths when working with the streak range. Longer focal lengths help produce a straighter streak from the light source and reduce lens distortion that can affect the streak’s appearance.
Question: Is this filter compatible with my iPhone?
Answer: The filter is designed for use with the NiSi IP-A Filter Holder for iPhone, which is sold separately. If you use that holder, the filter will mount and function as described.
Question: Can I change the direction of the streak?
Answer: Yes. The filter has a rotating front, so you can rotate it like a CPL to adjust the streak orientation to suit your composition.
Question: Can I stack this filter with others?
Answer: Yes. You can install multiple round filters on the IP-A holder by aligning the three bayonets of each filter with the three holes on the filter clip slot and turning clockwise to tighten.
Question: Which lenses work best with this streak filter?
Answer: We recommend longer focal lengths when using the streak range. Longer focal lengths tend to keep the streak straight and reduce lens distortion that can alter the streak’s appearance.
Question: What material is the filter made from?
Answer: The filter uses optical glass and a single series of etched lines spaced 2mm apart to create the streak effect.
