The NiSi Nano IR Neutral Density Filter ND1000 (58mm) reduces light entering your lens by 10 stops so you can use larger apertures or slower shutter speeds in bright conditions. It helps you create motion blur, control exposure in high-contrast scenes, and retain fine image detail thanks to high quality optical glass and protective coatings.
The filter uses an ultra thin brass frame with a thickness of only 3.5mm. Because of this slim construction, the filter fits even on super wide-angle lenses more comfortably and helps avoid vignetting that thicker frames can cause. The frame is finished in a matt black superfine frosted surface to minimise reflections around the lens edge.
NiSi made this filter from high quality optical glass and applied a nano coating to protect image detail. In addition, the IR protection coating layer reduces infrared light reaching the sensor, which helps restore more natural colors when shooting under conditions that can produce IR contamination. The filter also features a top smooth finish on the surface for handling and optical performance.

Question: Will this filter cause vignetting on my wide-angle lens?
Answer: The NiSi IRND1000 Pro Nano features an ultra thin 3.5mm brass frame designed to reduce the risk of vignetting on super wide-angle lenses compared to thicker frames.
Question: Does the filter change colour or cause a colour cast?
Answer: The filter is specified to provide no color cast and includes an IR coating to reduce infrared contamination, which helps bring back more natural colors in your images.
Question: How much light does the filter block and what does that allow me to do?
Answer: This ND filter has a density of 3.0, giving a 10-stop reduction and transmitting about 0.1% of light. That level of reduction lets you use wide apertures or slow shutter speeds in bright light to create motion blur or achieve shallower depth of field.
Question: What optical coatings protect image quality?
Answer: The filter uses high quality optical glass with a nano coating to preserve fine detail, and an IR protection coating to minimise infrared light affecting color reproduction.
The NiSi IRND1000 Pro Nano HUC 58mm delivers controlled 10-stop exposure reduction, an ultra-thin brass frame to limit vignetting, and coatings that protect image detail and color fidelity, making it well suited for long exposures, motion blur effects, and challenging bright-light scenes.
