The NiSi IRND64 Nano Huc 77mm is a 6-stop neutral density (ND) filter designed for filmmakers, videographers and photographers who need to reduce light while preserving image quality. It uses high-quality optical glass and special coatings so it does not affect sharpness, resolution or color rendition.
This ND64 filter uniformly reduces the amount of light entering the lens by six stops. As a result, you can choose longer shutter speeds to create motion blur or select larger apertures to reduce depth of field. Videographers can also use the filter to maintain specific shutter speeds for a natural-looking motion portrayal.
The filter is made from optical glass and features a nano coating that repels water and grease. This nano coating helps keep the glass clean and maintain image clarity. In addition, the filter includes an IR (infrared) coating that helps eliminate infrared light and avoid color casts that otherwise could appear during long exposures.
NiSi designed the frame to be matt black and ultra thin, with a 3.5mm profile. Because the frame is so slim, the filter is well suited for use on super wide-angle lenses where a thicker frame might cause vignetting. The matte finish reduces internal reflections and helps maintain contrast.
| Specification | Details |

| Filter type | Neutral Density (ND) |
| Light reduction | 6 stops |
| Thread size | 77mm |
| Glass | Optical glass |
| Coatings | Nano coating; IR coating |

Attach and remove the filter carefully to avoid touching the glass. The nano coating repels water and grease, which makes cleaning easier and helps protect image quality. Store the filter in a protective case when not in use to prevent scratches and dust buildup.
Question: Will this filter change my color balance or sharpness?
Answer: The NiSi IRND64 Nano Huc is made from optical glass with a nano coating and an IR coating; these are designed to maintain sharpness, resolution and natural color rendition while also reducing infrared-caused color casts during long exposures.
Question: Is the frame suitable for wide-angle lenses to avoid vignetting?
Answer: Yes. The filter features a matt black, ultra thin frame (3,5mm) specifically intended to reduce the risk of vignetting on super wide-angle lenses.
Question: How many stops of light does this filter reduce?
Answer: This IRND64 filter reduces exposure by six stops, allowing longer shutter speeds or wider apertures in bright conditions.
Question: Is the filter practical for videography as well as photography?
Answer: Absolutely. Videographers can use the filter to control exposure while keeping specific shutter speeds for natural motion rendering; photographers can use it to create motion blur or shallow depth of field as needed.
