NiSi Filter Starter Kit for Mavic 2 Pro – ND4, ND8, ND16 and Polarizer to control exposure and reduce glare

The NiSi Filter Starter Kit for Mavic 2 Pro gives you four purpose-built filters made for the DJI Mavic 2 Pro with Hasselblad camera. The kit includes three neutral density (ND) filters—ND4, ND8 and ND16—and a polarizer. Each filter aims to help you control light, improve motion rendering in video and reduce unwanted reflections.

Included filters

  • ND4
  • ND8
  • ND16
  • Polarizer

Design and build

NiSi designs each Mavic 2 Pro filter with a lightweight airframe using Aircraft Aluminum Construction. As a result, each filter weighs approximately 1.5g, keeping added weight to a minimum. The filters use high definition optical glass that the manufacturer describes as free from color cast, which supports sharp image rendering.

Additionally, NiSi treats the filters with its Nano coating. This coating makes the filters easier to clean, causes water to bead up and fall straight off, and reduces reflections to keep images clear and low in glare.

ND filters: smoother motion and truer color

NiSi ND filters reduce the amount of light entering the camera, which lengthens the shutter speed and produces a more natural sense of motion when filming. Moreover, these ND filters incorporate the same IR technology used in NiSi’s square filters to reduce color cast and help deliver more true-to-life colors.

Polarizer: reduce reflections and enhance saturation

The NiSi Polariser helps reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that becomes polarized after reflecting from non-metallic surfaces. Sunlight can become partially polarized when it scatters from air molecules or reflects off surfaces, creating a haze. The polarizer arranges and filters this directionally polarized light so much of the reflected component is absorbed. Consequently, you can expect a noticeable reduction in glare and reflections from non-metallic surfaces, plus increased saturation in skies and foliage.

Compatibility and usability

These filters are designed to complement the look and form of the Mavic 2 Pro and to be easy to attach and remove from the camera. All NiSi Filters for Mavic 2 Pro pass the drone’s startup calibration, so they work with the aircraft’s initial camera checks.

FAQ

  • Question: Are these filters compatible with my drone?
Answer: These NiSi filters are designed specifically for the DJI Mavic 2 Pro with the Hasselblad camera, so they fit and function with that model.
  • Question: How do the ND filters affect my video footage?
Answer: By reducing incoming light, the ND filters lengthen shutter speeds, which creates a more natural sense of motion in video and helps control exposure in bright conditions.
  • Question: What benefit does the polarizer provide during flight filming?
Answer: The polarizer cuts reflections and glare from non-metallic surfaces and reduces atmospheric haze. This results in clearer skies, richer foliage colors and less distracting glare in your footage.
  • Question: Will these filters affect the Mavic 2 Pro’s startup calibration?
Answer: No. All NiSi Filters for Mavic 2 Pro pass the startup calibration, so they do not interfere with the drone’s initial camera checks.
